Most of my beliefs are conservative.
So why am I not upset about the results.
Because, as I've said since 2016, politics is meaningless. Politicians are liars, and government has always failed.
This new congress will fail. The new governors will fail.
You can't count on 535 people who get to vote on their own pay raises. And they certainly aren't worthy of praise. You can only count on yourself, the community you cultivate, and God.
I have a book that predicts how the world ends. Actually more than predicts, flat out tells us.
It ends badly, the way things generally end. And there is not a thing we can do to change that.
Politics is a stupid game that distracts a Christian from their calling. We were never called to save a place that's fate is doomed, and we certainly weren't called to make it more comfortable.
We are called to show people the light. To make sure eternal life for strangers is not as horrible as this life.
Imagine if every minute spent on politics were spent instead on saving those without hope from eternal damnation.
I have to think God would be more please with that.
Did you have a bad night? Put your eyes, heart, and trust on what actually matters in the end.
Did you have a good night. Be careful what you worship, because if it isn't God, there is a 100% historically-backed guarantee that it will fail you.
🤙

EXPEL TEMULUN TOGOCHOG @UMich
The University of Michigan has reportedly contacted content creators and asked them to take down videos of the incident. This request is pointless. The footage has already hit terminal velocity and entered the mainstream. There is no stopping this train.
Instead of trying to bury the evidence, UMich should address what happened, condemn Temulun Togochog’s actions, and expel her for the safety of its students.

One good thing about the concussion. If I don't like the election results tonight, I might not even remember them tomorrow.

It's possible to laugh through the pain, when you truly believe in God and believe God has a plan.
Also help to focus and prepare.
I am certain that crying about it and bitching doesn't help.

So hello out there, we're on the air.
For those who are unfamiliar, I used to be here with this name and do a lot of politics. Had about 300,000 posts I think. Then I went away for a while, and now I am back, again.
I just suffered a pretty bad concussion about 11 days ago so expect typos.
I have a stuffed dog (see avi) who talks to me and I type for him. This is totally unrelated to the concussion. Also, he's a bit of a sarcastic asshole. He signs his tweets -F
I used to play golf as a pro and as a gambler, and an incident on @SouthwestAir ended that. I still fly with them. I figure that's about as bad as it can get.
I still try to play some, but it's ugly. I don't even own clubs at the moment. 😳
That said, if you need tips, I know some stuff.
I am also an expert house painter. Interiors mostly. If you need your house painted, I'll probably do it unless you are a horrible person.
I do deaf advocacy work now. That's a whole nother account.
Politically I am issues based. I think all candidates suck. There is no way I'd paint one of their houses. Well unless they paid an insane amount.
I don't fish and I won't eat green beans no matter how different yours are. There was an incident.
When I was 8 my dad left me as collateral at a gas station because he forgot his wallet 10 miles back. I got free potato chips and got to jump on the bell cord a lot. I knew right then this life was going to be a dumpster fire. Probably would've thought 💩show, but I was eight and Baptist. I had to sweep the church for a week because jumping on the bell cord looked to much like dancing.
I spent the next 25 years seeing how much bad stuff I could do from panty raids at Texas Tech, to putting a blow up doll on Soapsuds (statue, look it up) in student rebellion to using cocaine to high stakes gambling to partying with strippers.
Female, BTW.
Not me, the strippers.
Broke now, BTW.
I am a college dropout just like Gates, Zuckerberg, and that guy that lives on the sidewalk by the Hard Rock Hotel in Gaslamp.
I dropped out twice so I am better at it than they are. But the second time was mostly vertigo related. See the @SouthwestAir thing above.
Baptists are allowed to dance, BTW
I spent all the years after that Mav Rumspringa trying to get back to God. It wasn't always a straight path. Certainly not an easy one. Each night's prayer contains the request "Let me live long enough to make the sum of my life a positive instead of a negative."
I hope to live to 150.
If you read this far, thanks! Also, what's wrong with you? But mostly, thanks.
This, if I stick to the plan this time, will be the account I use for everything except Deaf Advocacy. And maybe some Deaf Advocacy if I get wound up.
There'll be no nudity. At least not intentionally but like I said, concussion.
You can also reach out to the stuffed dog, Fletcher, but he only know one word, so conversations are ruff.
If you decide to follow, thanks! Also, what's wrong with you? But mostly, thanks. 🤙

Concussion Chronicles:
Today I had to traverse a large hospital campus.
I did fall down once. In the grass.
I start concussion therapy next Monday. They said I won't be released for a return to work for 12 weeks or more, most likely.
My banks and credit card companies have requested to retort.
November job is cancelled (by the homeowner out of concern) and Softball World Series is cancelled for December.
Still planning to do the Las Vegas deaf event in December as it is small. We will see how it goes.
Headache still bouncing between 4-9. Memory is still declining. They say this is normal.
Still can only read with one eye open.
Haven't felt like making the trip to the beach to relax.
I am bored.
I still can't believe a fall did this.
Oh, talked to my employer today. I attempted to work a shift 3 days after the fall. That's where I went to the ER from. I remember leaving but I thought I left right away. I worked almost 4 hours and I have no memory of anything that happened while working. Don't even remember what event it was.
In fact, the whole point of tweeting stuff like this is for reference in future.

Tricolored Heron stalking slowly through the marsh. Its slate-blue body, white stripe down the neck and reddish-purple plumes at the base of the neck are the three colors that give it its name. #birding
I am going to be doing a series of tweets this fall and winter about what it's like to be deaf.
It's going to come off as bitching and whining probably.
It's stuff I usually keep inside because I don't like to be that guy, but I now realize it part of my duty in spreading awareness.
Let me just say... it sucks.

Schoolhouse 🏫 Rock 🪨 ruled! What was your favorite? Mine was “Interjections” ‼️ — now that I think 🤔 about it, “Hurray, I’m for the other team” was probably the origin of my “dog 🐶 or pass” contrarian betting philosophy LMEAO 😜 IYKYK
