Coming from OAU to UI, one of the biggest culture shocks I experienced was just how fiercely devoted people are to their halls. It influences almost everything about you. It's almost cult-like at this point. Tch!

Your hall is your pride and family in UI that is why most students are so attached to it.

If you read or watch Harry Potter, you'll see how individuals remain attached to their Hogwarts house even after graduation, so much that their kids tend to be sorted their. Once you've assigned a hall in UI, that's where you belong to for 4 to 7 years.

Yeah, and to me it's quite a microcosm of Nigerian politics
Replying to @Tim_Titanium
That probably explains the bond. But beyond that, my first Jaw War experience was something else. You needed to see the way people were bantering other halls. Even during elections, some halls seem to wield more influence than others. Just my observation, though.

I travelled to a tutorial to prepare for Jamb, the tutorial has accommodation option for those that live far away. I got sick one day and I was just shaking on my bed, she came and washed all my clothes for me and even cooked for me.😫 She's my best friend up till today. 🩷
What's that cute thing somebody has done for you that just makes so much sense? Take the mic, share and pass it. 🎤😂
