I was 14, walking past this woman every day. Pregnant. Reading. Baby crying. Still reading. I thought: bad decisions. I thought: where’s the man. Then one Friday there were drums and a convocation gown and I finally understood what I’d been watching. medium.com/@sowemimohamid/th…

BREAKING: Israel is now planning an explosive pager-style attack targeting Iran's top military leaders as soon as the war resumes, an Israeli official told NYP. The assassination would be focused on 4 Iranian military leaders, including IRGC Commander-in-Chief Ahmad Vahidi, Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei, Armed Forces Chief of Staff Ali Abdollahi and Basij commander Hossein Taeb. "This is something that cannot be rebuilt in a few years, this will send Iran back 50 years," he said.

😭😂 When someone cannot challenge your arguments, they resort to name-calling. You've repeatedly talked about propaganda, but you haven't successfully addressed the actual issues I've raised.

Same applies to eating of minor alive.
No minor-underage girl or boy should be forced to convert to a different religion. Same applies to the marriage of a minor.

That probably explains the bond. But beyond that, my first Jaw War experience was something else. You needed to see the way people were bantering other halls. Even during elections, some halls seem to wield more influence than others. Just my observation, though.

A PROUD TEDDERITE OF LORD TEDDER HALL Just wait until you meet the debaters, politicians, and sportsmen—then you’ll see what the real cult is all about. I had one whose appalling behaviour has turned my petty dislike into genuine hatred for some of them.
Coming from OAU to UI, one of the biggest culture shocks I experienced was just how fiercely devoted people are to their halls. It influences almost everything about you. It's almost cult-like at this point. Tch!

he was a simply a convert narcissist who used to use altruism to disguise it. They are some friends like that, they always wanna play savior, the moment they can't anymore, their world crumbles.
I had a friend who was always excited whenever I called him to ask for a loan, especially during the period when I was seriously struggling financially. It was almost as if helping me was what God had called him to do.

What actually happened in the Borno High Court judgment involving Lami Samuel Dawa is very different from the narrative Arise TV and some of its anti-Sharia propagandists have been pushing. I shared the certified true copy of the judgment so people can read it themselves. The victim was a 16-year-old minor. The court found, on the evidence (including the first defendant’s own admissions), that she enticed the girl away from her parents’ custody, removed her, took her to Jos, and facilitated her discontinuation from school and placement in a Bible school; all without the parents’ knowledge or consent. In fact, it is in evidence that the convict gave a phone and sim to the minor and when she realized that her parents were already looking for her, she asked her to stop at Bauchi instead of Jos. Why not ask her to come back to Borno? Who gave her money to travel? Her parents? The convict? If this is not abduction, I wonder what this one is. The above is what the conviction rests on. The other defendants were discharged for lack of credible evidence. Sentences of 14, 14 and 10 years were ordered to run concurrently. As I explained earlier, this case has no root in Shariah. It was tried in the High Court of Borno State under the Penal Code Laws of Borno State 2023 and the Borno State Child Protection Law 2021, ordinary state laws on child abduction, removal from lawful custody, and related offences. No Shariah Court had jurisdiction over it. No non-Muslim was tried under Shariah. The charges and the reasoning come from the same child-protection framework that exists under the Child Rights Act and similar laws across Nigeria, not from Islamic law. Yet some people rushed to attack Islam and Shariah as if this were a Shariah matter. Sharing the actual judgment has already put the sensational version to shame. Anyone can now see the charges, the evidence, the findings, and the reasoning. It is no longer possible to reduce this to “a Christian woman was jailed for simply sharing her faith with an adult who converted willingly,” or to claim it was a Shariah trial. It is also important to state that the convict has right of appeal even upto the Supreme Court. So the matter is not completely closed. This is why verification matters before anything is shared publicly. Imagine if the certified judgment had not been in circulation. The false narrative would have continued unchallenged, further inflaming an already sensitive environment. The danger of such false narratives to our peace and to the integrity of the legal system is enormous. People should not jump on trends without the facts. Media houses have a responsibility to report accurately, especially on matters that touch religion, child protection, and court decisions. When they fail, the cost is paid by ordinary Nigerians who want peace and a functioning justice system. Enough of the propaganda. Enough of the anti-Shariah narratives.

Hire the UK designer and avoid this crash out, No? Èwo lejo ofo
Website designers in UK charge between £100 to £250 to design websites. Depending on type, the highest I have seen is £350. But you dey charge $2000 for website design. No issue with that, but i wont pay half of that for a website in this day and age. If you have customers who pay you that. Good luck. You can go ahead with your obscenities, no offence taken.

This is condescending. Very condescending.
One of the instincts you learn working in Hr for years is identifying problematic people. But then, I am also a teacher so I will teach you again as I did in the conversation we had. You are a UX designer with portfolios online, doing this isnt helping your career and we all know why. Theres clearly an / in this message meaning “or” not “and” But keep up with your agenda Favour. At @CustorisHQ we are building something different and novel. If you are in UK or planning on coming to The UK next year, please follow us for updates. If you are an undergraduate in Nigeria, Indian or Kenya and need volunteer or placement opportunities (stipend covering your data usuage and set up will be paid, we pay for all subscriptions needed) please send us an email and our HR will reach out to you. Thank you.

LMFAOOOO I have a problem with the 3K people who liked this tweet. Nigerians in the diaspora and Nigerians in Nigeria are both slaves and serfs in the yin-yang.
I think most Nigerians overestimate themselves and their skillset. No thanks to social media, people go for interviews with unrealistic salary figures because “I am pricing my worth” China, India, Philippines and Kenya are becoming global commercial powerhouses because they are leveraging on their low currency to dollar disparity to provide cheaper labour for high currency rate countries in the west. Thereby providing jobs for their people. But Nigerians want to be paid same wage someone in UK, Europe or the Americas earn simply because “I know my worth” My Chinese Partner was telling me yesterday there are places in China with average monthly pay of less than $250. India is less than $65. Same with Philipines and Kenya. Nigeria has a minimum wage of 70,000 Naira which is around $50, international and local companies will price your skillset in your local currency starting from your minimum wage. Many Nigerians are financially delusional for a people that is the poverty capital of the world with the highest out of school children and the most terrorised country in the world. Thats how I interviewed a young lady for a part time admin role and she said her salary expectation is 1.5 million naira. For Admin ?? In Nigeria? For same amount I can get a part time admin here in the UK 25 hours a week.m, and they would pray for me daily cos the job market now in UK is horrible. No jobs. But a remote worker in Nigeria wants 1.5 million Naira to do a part time admin work. Everyone wants to rich overnight. You guys are not serious

Hire your AI na
You dey fear to tag me? You were asking for 1.5m naira for a part time admin position, some of which was to make posts on social media. A remote job at that. We already have AI softwares doing that for less than $75 a month. Your job basically as I informed you will mainly to manage ai agents and automations. I also told you that for that amount, you will probably do more than admin, you may be delegated to join our Tech team as a frontend UX staff of which you declined saying you are a UX designer only But ofcourse “you know your worth”, as in your words: you charge $2000 to design websites and people pay. Very disappointing to see this response of yours Favour. Even after the advice I gave you in the informal conversation we had. Your work ethics, work values and ability to take corrections and learn is disappointingly sad to note.

Some Nigerians in the diaspora will want to hire you and bring up the minimum wage topic. Please, if you can't pay, hire someone in the UK. Because I'm Nigerian I should not charge a million naira.
