Gloam just completed its first $GLOAM buyback, and there’s something worth paying attention to here.
The team didn’t want the first buyback to be just a few dollars, so they added to the amount generated from protocol fees.
The interesting part?
The original plan was to burn 50% and send the other 50% to the treasury.
But for this first round, they decided to burn everything.
Now, think about the longer-term mechanism.
As more people use Gloam, protocol activity can generate more fees. And as those fees grow, the buyback amount can grow alongside them.
I like the idea of connecting actual protocol usage to this mechanism rather than making it entirely dependent on hype.
Of course, adoption and usage are what will determine how meaningful this becomes over time.
But the first buyback is done.
One step at a time.

We didn’t want the first one to be just a few dollars, so the team added on top of the protocol fees.
All of it went to the burn address. We planned to burn half and send half to the treasury, but this round it was all burned.
As more people use Gloam, fees grow, and the buybacks grow with them.

I’ve completed 44 TestDrives, and choosing just one favourite experience is harder than I expected.
Two products I keep coming back to are @trezioapp and @thebuildside.
Trezio stuck with me because of how it brings links, notes, screenshots and documents into one searchable library.
It solves a problem I can relate to, which is keeping useful information organised without jumping between several apps.
Buildside is another name that has stayed on my radar.
I’ve enjoyed plenty of other products along the way, but these two are the ones I find myself returning to.

I tested @trezioapp and the appeal became obvious pretty quickly.
I save a lot of posts for research, but saving something is only useful if I can actually find it later.
Trezio turns those scattered saves into a visual library where I can see, sort and revisit what I’ve collected instead of digging through an endless bookmark pile.
For anyone who saves a lot of research, ideas or references, this is genuinely useful.
Trezio is worth trying.

I tested The Arena by voting for two products, Myka Chatbot Plugin and XBurst, and left my reviews directly on the platform.
I like how The Arena turns product discovery into head-to-head competition.
Instead of just scrolling through another directory, you get to evaluate products, cast a vote and help decide which ones earn recognition.
I also spotted a mobile UI issue on my first visit.
The stats ticker near the top of the homepage overlaps the hero section, leaving some of its content partially obscured.
Giving that section better spacing on smaller screens would make the first impression much cleaner.
