Young people across Britain will be able to apply for study, training and work experience opportunities in Europe from next month as the UK prepares to rejoin the Erasmus+ exchange programme. The government has confirmed that Britain's participation will resume on 1 January 2027, restoring access to opportunities that were lost following Brexit. Importantly, the programme will not be restricted to university undergraduates. Further education students, apprentices and training institutions will also be eligible to participate. Foreign Office minister Hamish Falconer says applications will open in November, marking a significant development in Britain's efforts to rebuild its relationship with Europe.
