Looking forward to delivering this again.
If you are a coach or sport leader in Zimbabwe, I’d love to have you come along. This course is practical and designed to help coaches support their athletes in an area that is far too often overlooked.

Zimbabwe were eight minutes away from the biggest result in their history on Saturday, as two agonising late tries saw Tonga come back to beat the Sables. But, one year out from the World Cup, we assess where Zimbabwe are at, and how they so almost did it...
Hang it in the Louvre! Our men came to play. This team is on the rise and they are going to challenge on the way 🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼

Mashawi works at his garage during the week & played full time pros today. This the reality some fans must understand & manage their expectations. The A in SA A doesnt mean they are less than Zim, it simply means SA has even better players than these guys for now. GO SABLES GO 🫡

Final: Springbok A 40-00 Sables
The Sables left everything on the field but came up short against Springbok A. Heads held high!
A fearless performance against a team of full professionals from the world's premier rugby program, there’s definitely plenty of positives to build on ahead of the Nations Cup. GO SABLES

Yesterday was a special day for all of us at Connect.
One of our original Khayelitsha players, Lukhanyo Vokozela, made his URC debut for the @StormersRugby.
Coach John Dobson spoke about his journey at the post-match press conference. Thanks to @MarcoJacobsZA for the footage.

Lukhanyo Vokozela
Dobbo told us tonight a bit of the story of Lukhanyo, another typical desperate story of gang violence and growing up poor and how hungry he is to make it. He came through the Ingram Rugby Academy in the Cape, he joined them because he know he will get a meal/day. Hey man these stories make me moeg. We must do better as a nation. Looking better after our young kids.
Reflecting on the Sport Psychology for Coaches training course I delivered in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
Working with such dedicated and knowledgeable coaches was amazing - the kind of work that reminds you why you do what you do.
I was so impressed by the caliber of coaches in the room. Their knowledge was exceptional, their commitment inspiring, and their genuine care evident in every discussion. The peer-to-peer learning was a highlight as coaches learned as much from each other as from the curriculum.
These coaches are nurturing mentally strong, resilient athletes. Zimbabwe's sporting future is in excellent hands!
I can’t wait for more chances to contribute.

We also commend Tyrone Gombe, alongside Ikey coaches Senna Esterhuizen & Joel Carew, for their vital roles in securing Zimbabwe’s qualification for the 2027 @rugbyworldcup . This historic achievement is a significant moment for @SablesRugbyZW 👏

In @Edgarkazibwe Both the men and women's cricket national teams have a psychologist in place, he also extends services to the U19 teams and it's clearly a major boast as recognized by Brian Masaba👏
