ASP is going to pull an Edvinsson when his deal expires.
UPDATE: The #RedWings have recalled Jacob Bernard-Docker from the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins and assigned Axel Sandin-Pellikka.

Oil is up big time today. Even with the winter blend hitting gas stations soon, not going to see much price relief at the pump.

Nonsense. U School needs to not show up and play the winner of the next game in their bracket.
Lawyer fighting for Glenville HS football team to remain in the playoffs says a judge has issued a temporary restraining order to allow the team to continue to play despite State investigation regarding player eligibility.

His Team USA buddies convinced him at the Olympics that he needs to leave Detroit if he wants to win. Bonus points would be if he could force his way to play on a team with several of said buddies.
I just don't get the whole Dylan Larkin drama There has to be more to the story, right? Is there some sort of player friction that hasn't been leaked... sort of an Avisail Garcia type of thing? Maybe the Canadian/international players are holding grudges from the Olympics?

If he was fed up he either could have chosen to hit free agency a few years ago, or agree to a shorter termed contract. He made a commitment to the Red Wings signing a long-term deal. His dumb decisions have brought us here.
Is it a hot take to say that I think it’s perfectly reasonable that Dylan Larkin is fed up with #LGRW? 12 years of mediocrity thanks to an incompetent GM is surely quite frustrating. And of course he wants to choose a contender — if you don’t want your player to do so, don’t hand out a full NTC.

Arvy hatty party!

I've been pleased with the Red Wings effort tonight. Pretty clear the Larkin drama being over may have re-energized the roster a bit.

Rasmussen has a lot of jump tonight.

Chris Ilitch rejoices
Suspensions without pay mean the team does not carry a cap charge for the player. Detroit now has $24M Projected Cap Space puckpedia.com/team/detroit-r…

The irony of Larkin's last game as a Red Wing is he tied the game late and they ultimately won in a shootout. Anyways, hope he sits at home for as long as possible.

No one put a gun to his head to sign a long-term contract. Dumb take.
Don’t blame Dylan Larkin one bit. He wants off the sinking ship. Shocked that the entire team hasn’t demanded a trade. What’s a disaster.

Silver lining is that Larkin is no longer in the locker room. Players have to feel some relief that they probably won't have to deal with him ever again stepping foot inside.

I've had enough of the situation solely created by my own choices!
Statement from Pat Brisson, agent for Dylan Larkin, regarding his client deciding not to play while awaiting a trade: “Dylan’s had enough of the situation. We believe he’s been very professional and cooperative through this process.”

My guess is once Larkin officially fails to report for the game tonight, the Red Wings will suspend him. If I were Horcoff I'd be more incentivized than ever to not move him. If you don't want to honor your contract, fine by us. We'll discuss that again when the tantrum is over.

Hope the Red Wings tell him to enjoy sitting at home.
There were talks in the the last 24 hours between Larkin's camp and the Red Wings, both last night and again this morning, and what was communicated from the agents to Detroit was that Larkin feels he's given the team ample time since his trade request in May to get a deal done. Larkin has had enough, so decision was made he won't play tonight nor for foreseable future hoping a trade materializes. Fluid situation still. Red Wings circling back to teams with interest, etc., as talks escalate.

Please let this be a precursor to a trade so this nonsense can end.
DET coach Todd McLellan just told reporters Dylan Larkin will not play tonight and GM Shawn Horcoff will address the situation
