What is the "mental load" of 'weekday breakfast' specifically as opposed to 'groceries' and 'kids morning routine'?
Cognitive household labour is literally just being an adult existing in the world.
The problem is that you still believe your trips to Iraq or Afghanistan were to "fight for your country". You were there on behalf of finance capitalists, the enemy of the British people. No young British person should fight for a regime thats already destroyed their future.
🇬🇧 I’d go so my children wouldn’t have to 🫡
I watched Alex Armstrong last night saying he couldn’t fight for his country, followed by a pile-on from the older generation on the panel. I can see both sides. The older generation believes we have a duty to defend our country, while the younger generation is asking why they should risk their lives for a government they feel has treated the working class with contempt.
As a veteran who has served on three operational tours, I understand the complexities of military service. I didn’t deploy to Iraq or Afghanistan as a soldier, although I worked in Afghanistan as a close protection officer. I would never presume to speak for those who endured countless tours, lost friends or returned with lifelong physical and psychological injuries. I work with veterans, and I know the sacrifices don’t end when the fighting stops.
This isn’t necessarily about young people refusing to defend their country. It’s about a generation who feel their country no longer respects them. Many have been criticised simply for displaying patriotism, yet could one day be expected to put on a uniform and make the ultimate sacrifice. That’s a conversation worth having, rather than dismissing their concerns.
Would I fight for my country again? Yes. But not for any government. I’d fight for the men and women standing beside me, for my family and for the generations coming after us.
And perhaps this is where my answer becomes personal. I’d rather they sent me than my children. I’ve lived my life. I want my children to live theirs, to marry, have children of their own and grow old. If sacrificing my life meant my children, or someone else’s children, could have that future, I’d do it.
So I understand Alex, and I understand the older generation on that panel. Patriotism, duty, sacrifice and trust in government are not the same thing. You can love your country while feeling profoundly let down by those governing it.
For me, the answer is simple, even if the question isn’t.
I’d go so my children wouldn’t have to.

Absolutely incredible newsism here.

In recent months, the Americans, French, Germans, and Israelis - our so-called “allies” - have either cast doubt on our sovereignty over the Falkland Islands or moved towards supplying weapons to Argentina, a country that continues to claim British territory as its own.
President Trump has openly discussed reviewing America's position on the Falklands. French and German defence firms have offered Argentina new submarines, while Israel has already signed an agreement to supply its armed forces with weapons.
What is our government doing in response?
Nothing.
We may not be the global superpower we once were, but we still have tremendous leverage over all of these countries and we should not be afraid of using it.
And I don’t mean sending strongly-worded letters or summoning ambassadors.
The government has already negotiated surrender deals over Chagos and Gibraltar. If we continue to allow our territorial integrity to be questioned without consequence, we will lose all of our overseas territories and be left even more globally irrelevant than we already are.

The middle class was a 50-year fluke designed to stop communism during the Cold War. The threat is gone, so the elites are taking it apart. You're not falling behind. You're being pushed back into peasantry.
People really just hate children and want them sometimes seen, never heard.
Then they complain that children today don't have social skills that can only be forged by being in the world.
I hate anti natalists so much. Children are lifes biggest blessing.
When I go to a coffee shop, it's usually because I want a bit of peace & quiet, and a decent coffee.
I don't go to listen to toddlers screaming, and the single toilet being used as a smelly, baby-changing facility.
Should coffee shops have child-free days?
I think they should. They would make more profit.
I'm more concerned about the consequences of economic collapse, war, social decay and total deindustrialisation that my son and daughter will inherit in the coming decades.
I don't believe in climate change but if it did get a bit warmer it might make the other misery tolerable.
Americans just seem so incurious about their own health. Like, if I had chronic headaches I'd do my own investigating eg. changes to diet/lifestyle/enviro to see what helped. Everything has a cause. Most of the time you're better placed to find it than a Dr who doesn't know you.
If you have regular period cramps you likely are dehydrated or have a shit diet/vitamin deficiency. Maybe get curious about your own body and health rather than ingesting chemicals that mask the pain? Of course doctors will Push drugs it's quick and easy for them.
Do Americans just get headaches all the time? I honestly can't remember the last time I had a headache that wasn't resolved by a glass of water. Regular painkillers use is bad for your liver and you should treat the underlying cause.

You and your wife are cowards and narcissists. Inflicting severe damage on your children because you "drifted apart." Pathetic.
My wife and I decided to get a divorce.
There were no fights, just two adults who realised they drifted apart from each other.
This is probably the hardest thing I had to go through.
First of all, telling our girls...seeing them so sad was heartbreaking. But we are still a team as parents and will do everything for them!
Also we have to sell our house, the house I wanted to live in forever and raise my kids in...
Going back to a smaller appartment will be rough.
I still have a lot of to handle, that's why I wasn't active here on X.
I'm really grateful for all the people who reached out and asked where I was 🙏🏼
This women will always be a part of my life, she gifted me with two perfect daughters.
I wish her all the best, great memories were made in those years!
I'll be back soon. Thank you everyone 🙏🏼

From December 2026 the UK will force synthetic folic acid it into ordinary flour, dosing every man, woman and child.
Officials say it may cut a rare birth defect by about 20%. But it can hide a serious vitamin B12 shortage so that nerve damage becomes permanent. High amounts have been linked to faster growth of existing cancers, worse memory in older people, and weaker immune cells.
Everyday food gives the real vitamin safely. Mass medication without choice is not public health.
Synthetic additives are making us sick. The Wyvern Fellowship supports natural foods to feed a healthy nation.
Imagine being this zogged. May as well just castrate yourself.
This “analysis” by Charlie reveals quite how high his time-preference is and how shallow his understanding of geopolitics is.
The conflict with Iran is part of a global struggle with “CRINK” (China Russia Iran North Korea) which our adversaries have chosen whether we will it or not. They are conducting grey warfare against us including terrorism operations, funding and directing Turkish-controlled people smuggling networks and conducting penetration operations against our political, financial and commercial sectors.
Iran is the “hub” of CRINK.
There exists, in this moment, an opportunity to finally end the Iranian regime. The financial strangulation strategy the US has been conducting since the spring is beginning to bite, with Iranian troops going unpaid, and the (functionally IRGC-run) regime now vulnerable. Such an opportunity has not arisen since 1979, and if we squander it, it would be a grave strategic error.
The idea that we should let Iran’s regime endure because the cost is temporarily higher energy prices is deeply unserious.

This little boy commercially lost his father, his mother, and is being raised by a woman old enough to be his grandmother.
He will have a massive identity issues, struggling to understand himself both as a boy, and with regard to his ethnicity.
He will hunger for male love, which will make him vulnerable to men with the wrong intentions.
By the time he graduates high school, it's possible he will have to be this woman's caregiver.
He deserves to be raised by his own mother and father.
But modern family and modern medicine have decided that he gets neither.

I do not believe that the Government should be adding folic acid to our bread.
Food should be as natural as possible. That is not a controversial position.
We are now in the absurd situation where politicians think they should decide what goes into the everyday food of millions of British people.
There is an important difference between recommending a supplement to those who need it and making its addition compulsory in a staple food consumed by the entire population.
Education and targeted supplementation is the answer.
Why must the solution always be another blanket government intervention for tens of millions of people?
People should be able to buy ordinary bread without having unnecessary products forced in by the state.
Clear labelling. Informed choice. Targeted healthcare.
That simple - that's the Restore Britain position.
Keep our food as natural as possible, and let the British public decide what they eat.
I will make that argument in Parliament following the successful petition.
Leave the sodding bread alone.
