There’s actual research showing that Muslim candidates suffer a far greater electoral penalty than people from almost any other group, and 45% of Michigan voters said they wouldn’t vote for one as president. Your blinders are on
If Rogers wins the MISEN in 9 days, the pundits and the DSA-lefties will point to Islamophobia, and Rogers HAS run an Islamophobic campaign. But AES is unpopular with a wide swath of voters because he's an immature, dislikable jerk. @murphymike has hit on this, and he likes AES!
Despicable
Federal Judge Roy Altman says he's taken "ten percent of all the active federal judges in America" on trips to Israel "just in the last three years."
Now, he's apparently making state supreme court justices humiliate themselves by competing with one another to go on said trips.
"Whoever's going to go is going to have to play Rock, Paper, Scissors to see who wins," he says he told the justices. "I looked down two minutes later, and these supreme court justices were going like this [and playing Rock, Paper, Scissors]."
Absolutely insane this is being tolerated.

A recently published Home Office report indicates that Muslims face the highest rate of hate crimes in the country, but this is not being reflected in police data.

The Islamophobia in the Michigan Senate race is officially at nuclear-grade levels.
1. Ted Cruz claiming Abdul El-Sayed might share classified intel with the Muslim Brotherhood and terrorists
2. Trump calling AES "Mohammed" and mocking his name
3. Mike Rogers trying to tie AES's biological mom, whom he stopped being raised by when he was 3, to Al-Qaeda
This stuff is more pernicious than most people acknowledge today. Republicans could win this race by challenging AES's ideas, but they apparently can't help themselves but fear monger about his faith.
Florida Rep. Randy Fine wrote: “We need more Islamophobia, not less. Fear of Islam is rational.”
Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles: Muslims “don’t belong in American society.”
Alabama Sen Tommy Tuberville saying “The enemy is inside the gates" about Zohran, next to pictures of the Twin Towers burning on 9/11.
It has a very particular, distinct post 9/11 vibe to it. Really, really unhinged and ugly shit, and not nearly enough people calling it out.

How is this antisemitism? This is anti Israel and the sentiment is absolutely correct. On the other hand the republicans have straight up made anti Muslim statements but we haven’t seen 1% of the same outrage.
EL-SAYED: I get that the President takes personal offense to my first name. He doesn't mind as much when it's the Saudis who are funding his son-in-law's private equity. Doesn't seem to mind as much when it's the Qataris who are giving them a $400 million private jet. He just seems to have trouble pronouncing it when it's my name.
I don't care how he pronounces my name. I don't even care that he remembers my whole name. Because he can just go on and call me senator after November.

Haley Stevens is clearly still beholden to those who have propped up her campaigns. Gotta keep the doors open for 2028, right @HaleyforMI?
BASH: “You're still fully behind Abdul El-Sayed?”
STEVENS: “Look, I'm on the Democratic ticket. I can't say that I agree with everything that's gone on… I'm looking to be on the team to support my next governor Jocelyn Benson, and frankly these great Democrats who are working their tails off, who are going to make Hakeem Jeffries the first black Speaker of the House.”
BASH: “You didn't mention Abdul El-Sayed in that last answer.”
STEVENS: “Well, look, I would just say, you had asked me if I'm still on the team, I'm on the team.”

Remember the editor of this newspaper is Nolan Finley, a Zionist supporter of genocidal Israel. He has published piece upon piece against El Sayed.
This newspaper needs to be thrown into oblivion forever.

All those Zionist genocide supporters that make it about Abdul el Sayed’s imaginary antisemitism, ignore this pure anti Muslim bigotry.
Because it was never about racism— it was always about supporting Israel over America. Even if it meant supporting a racist pig like Trump.
Israel firsters are the a disease and they will destroy America if that’s what it took to support Israel.

This won’t be a factor.
1- The basic principle for most Muslims across the spectrum is to vote for the lesser of two evils between imperfect candidates, and here the choice is clear.
2- The Iran war has made Shias even more anti-Trump.
3- Remember Sunnis voted overwhelmingly for Mamdani, who is Shia.
Only a handful may sit this one out because they see AES as too liberal or they are extreme in their sectarianism.

Haley Stevens sees Israel in her dreams. She’s an Israel-Firster. Don’t be surprised by her attempts to sabotage Abdul El Sayed.

Indeed disqualifying. And any candidate from a country supporting Israel should automatically be disqualified from contention.
In some ways, @Lana_Nusseibeh is a compelling candidate for UN Secretary-General. She's a woman from a moderate Gulf country and has a record of effective diplomacy -- but unfortunately she has proven her effectiveness by backing the UAE's role in arming the RSF militia as it has engaged in mass murder and mass rape in Sudan, in a rampage that both the Biden and Trump administrations have called genocide. So, sure, an effective diplomat is wonderful -- but not if the effectiveness is divorced from values the UN is meant to promote. No doubt she thought she was simply supporting the policies her country's leaders set. But hundreds of thousands have died in Sudan, as best we can tell, and she has helped lead a UAE diplomatic effort that has lied about it, covered it up and persisted in it even as the slaughter continues. Shouldn't that be disqualifying?

Dear Muslim Americans — make sure to vote. If you don’t vote, you don’t have the right to complain.
Your vote matters even more this year. Senate races in Michigan, Texas, Minnesota and Ohio are within margin of error of polls. Our community is big enough to have a big impact.

So if AES is responsible for all the bad things Arabs did to black American, then wouldn’t Trump be responsible for all the worse things that white people did?
This isn’t real. How much was she paid?

It’s so rich to see Republicans calling Abdul El Sayed arrogant while at the same time supporting Trump, the most arrogant, narcissistic president in modern history.
