Formerly a statesman. Now a sad man. Single most consequential President (not 'State Counsellor') in my country's history. Retweets are endorsed by EBO.

Indeed. The one who showed up at the Hague to defend the charges was a DASSK-lookalike KaPaSa-made robot assembled with Russian help. Mainstream media won't tell you this but I will. So will Sun Thu.
As expected, wannabe #Myanmar expert Ronan Lee is still lying and can't get the facts straight. No, Ronan, Aung San Suu Kyi has NOT "defended military genocide against Rohingya Muslims." #WhatsHappeninglnMyanmar

How do i know this cat is a Westerner? Simple. It speaks of what Burmese people want with such certitude that is pervasive in westerners in Myanmar. Most burmese i speak to don't know what to make of sanctions. They do know for sure they don't want $$$ going to the SAC
Replying to @MarkFarmaner
Myanmar people living in the country are not in the activists’ bubble in, let’s say, London. They know sanctions do not work and are not calling for them. Instead, they want to work precisely because the situation is terrible.

Meanwhile key western diplomats are bent on rehashing junta talking points or dunking on twitter anons to score some x points.
"Few international actors (other than perhaps China) appear to have a coherent strategy for dealing with Myanmar’s increasingly fragmented state." Indeed. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

Ko Thein Sein retweeted
In Chinese state media, Myanmar “relevant local law enforcement bodies,” and not the military junta are given credit for the 31,000 people Chinese police claim have been sent back across the border. Chinese language report describes this as “special cooperation”

You have to give it to the effing batteries This is another place where China has significant geostrategic interests
Yesterday in #Rakhine, police from 7 #SAC stations abandoned their posts due to fear of #AA attacks. Additionally, 2 other stations surrendered to the AA with full armament, local news sources report.

BREAKING: Massive pro-military protests reported in Yangon causing traffic jams in the commercial capital. The mainstream media will not report this. As you can see, these protesters are super-energized. You can feel their burning passion on your screen. Try it.

And that's only Economy Class.
Business people stranded in Laukkai, Kokang Self-Administered Zone in Shan State, have been paying the military 700,000 Yuan ($96,154 USD) per person to be airlifted out of the city by helicopter since Nov. 1. #WhatsHappeninginMyanmar #Shan Read more: english.dvb.no/un-visits-idp…

Clarification to my fellow burmese: Tat or Tatmadaw is what foreigners use to refer to what most burmese people call Sit Tat.
A couple towns in Shan North are now under split control. So the Tat is still present but does not or can not hit back. No sign of a major counterattack yet. Very slow. Tat may lack the force strength for the job. It could instead resort to urban bombardment but hasn't yet. 1/2

Does this show sophistication in the sit-tat's disinfo tactics?
Myanmar's terrorist media & #KIA is spreading disinformation regarding heavy artillery attacks in China, attributing them to Tatmadaw. In reality, the heavy artillery attacks were carried out by #KIA. The accusation against Tatmadaw is an old & nasty strategy used by #KIA #EAOs.

I love it when so called experts get a thread and sometimes articles out of adding nothing new. X and Y are big unknowns. Hence we can't be sure how little we know abt little known Z. Tons of knowledgeable local analysts closer to the ground who know more get overlooked
Regime is beginning to look absent in N. Shan. But there's still a lot we can't see. Pro-regime chatter has gone quiet. Lots of activity at the two airfields. Many positions abandoned with out much of a fight. Regime may be regrouping and waiting for a strike force to arrive. 1/3

I wish this was true.
Min Aung Hlaing said that the U.S. treats Burma as an enemy nation. He made the comments during a meeting in Naypyidaw on Oct. 26. “They create instability in all sectors of Myanmar,” claimed Min Aung Hlaing. #Naypyidaw Credit: Regime media Read more: english.dvb.no/resistance-fo…
