In August, President Trump announced he had signed the “biggest oil deal in world history.” ProPublica reviewed the deal and found it gives a small group of people largely handpicked by the Trump administration long-term control of the enterprise. propublica.org/article/trump…

GOP Sen. Mitch McConnell is threatening to block Trump’s legislative agenda unless he stops bending the knee to Putin. “Passing this agenda will require working with Republicans who know the difference between the good guys and the bad guys. Ending the obeisance to Mr. Putin may be table stakes for the end-of-year legislation. The president should plan accordingly,” McConnell wrote in The Wall Street Journal.”

Incredible. Vucic concedes defeat in the Serbian election. After Orbán, Putin and Russia have lost another big ally in Europe.

Peace through strength is more than a principle. It is a responsibility—and one that demands action. The Treasury Department’s decision to allow Russian diesel imports undermines the bipartisan law Congress enacted in 2022 to cut off funding for Putin’s war machine. Today, alongside @RepDonBacon and @RepMGP, I introduced the Ronald Reagan Peace Through Strength Act to nullify that waiver, enforce the existing ban, and safeguard critical U.S. intelligence support for Ukraine. Not a single drop of Russian oil should enter the United States while Putin continues his brutal war against Ukraine. We cannot stand with Ukraine while opening our markets to the energy revenues fueling Russia’s aggression. Our message must be unmistakable: America stands with Ukraine. Our laws must be upheld. And aggression must carry a cost greater than its reward. 🔗Read more: fitzpatrick.house.gov/2026/1…

ICE violently detain man legally in U.S.—refuse to look at his papers. "I got papers right here!" man pleads. Slam him against wooden fence as he screams in pain. Agent tells man filming free to leave—because he's white. "He said because I'm white he's not going to arrest me" man holding camera says. "Just for the color of my skin... even though I'm Mexican, too." Agents claim they tackled the man because he started running—with no other probable cause. Incident occurred in Chicago, Illinois. Ricardo Salvador Miranda doesn’t have an active account on this platform—so posting first full length and credited video here to help raise awareness.

70 years ago, Hungarians rose up against communist rule. Here's a timeline of the events in an archival RFE/RL video.
On October 23, 1956, Hungary rose up against communist rule. It was the first armed revolution in the Eastern Bloc. The uprising was crushed and the return to democracy that had been fought for was delayed until its anniversary in 1989, when the Hungarian Republic was declared.

The shifting explanations from Musk and the administration sound like Abbott and Costello’s “Who’s on First?” Except the consequences for Ukrainian civilians are deadly. Musk says he didn’t do it. The administration says it didn’t either. Yet someone in the administration reportedly told Musk to undo it, and Ukraine reports only partial restoration. Are we supposed to believe Hegseth and the Pentagon don’t know the status of a capability critical to U.S., Ukrainian and allied security? Whoever is handing Putin the gift of a more vulnerable Ukraine should at least have the guts to put their name on it. Hiding behind denials while innocent people pay the price is cowardice. Meanwhile, Putin keeps murdering civilians and trying to starve and freeze Ukraine into submission. Americans deserve answers. Ukrainians deserve the means to defend themselves.
