Over 90% of emergency department clinical leads say Wales is poorly prepared for winter. Following my visit to Wrexham Maelor A&E, I’ve written directly to the Cabinet Secretary for Health demanding deliverable plans, safe patient flow, and genuine community care capacity. So Andy Burnham wants an “honest conversation” about restoring free movement? Fine! In 2024 alone, 1,177,232 people acquired EU-country citizenship, 88% were from non-EU countries. Over the decade to 2024: around 8.4 MILLION citizenship acquisitions. So @AndyBurnhamGM, here’s the honest question: Why should an EU government be able to confer a right to live in Britain that the British Government cannot refuse? Brexit returned that sovereign decision to Britain. And now you want to surrender it again.
A reminder of what Burnham said in May: "I am not proposing that the UK considers rejoining the EU, I respect the decision that was made at the referendum." Now he wants an "honest" conversation about the EU after he lied? You can’t trust a word he says.

Tory vetting really is something else. “Strong and stable” apparently now means knowing the going rate for a contract killer. But yes, do keep telling us Reform are the problem.

🏥 Wrexham’s hospital patients deserve better. From car parking to the condition of hospital facilities, people need answers and a clear plan for improvement. I’m raising these concerns and pushing for accountability. Our community deserves better. #Wrexham #NHSWales #BetsiCadwaladr #ReformUK #WorkingForYou

I’m in direct contact with current and former Betsi Cadwaladr staff. What they are telling me corroborates the serious concerns being raised publicly by this doctor. @BetsiCadwaladr has been in heightened escalation for 11 years. Yet at a recent meeting with the Board, we were treated to glossy PowerPoint presentations painting the usual “everything is hunky-dory, all is well” picture. That is not what staff are telling me. And when @NigelWilliamsMS asked the Cabinet Minister a perfectly reasonable question, after 11 years of failure, why not bring in the best expertise available from outside Wales? - we didn’t get a serious answer about improving patient care. We got a lecture about devolution. Devolution should be a means of delivering better public services, not a shield against scrutiny or an excuse for refusing outside expertise. Patients waiting for life-saving treatment don’t care which side of the border their doctor or the expertise comes from. They care about getting treated. Timely!

Planning decisions shape the places we live in. They affect our countryside, our historic environment and the character of our communities. They must be fair, transparent and based on evidence. That is why Cristiana Emsley MS and I have submitted objections to the planning appeal concerning land north of Wayside Cottage, Brymbo. #Planning #Communities #Brymbo #Wrexham Read more here 👇 nigeldwms.substack.com/p/bry…

“The sudden barrage of polling data broadcast across legacy networks is not an objective reflection of the electorate, but a highly curated narrative designed to manufacture consent” 👇
How Legacy Media Rig the Narrative 🧵 The sudden barrage of polling data broadcast across legacy networks is not an objective reflection of the electorate, but a highly curated narrative designed to manufacture consent. When establishment outlets like GB News elevate outlier polls showing a miraculous Conservative recovery, they are actively participating in narrative engineering. They deliberately ignore comprehensive aggregate models and Nowcasts that show Reform UK capturing massive vote shares and dozens of seats, choosing instead to platform washed-up Tory frontbenchers to pontificate over single, cherry-picked graphics. This is the Uniparty media apparatus in full deployment. By filtering reality through a selective lens, the establishment right-wing media is desperately attempting to resuscitate a collapsed Conservative brand while gaslighting the public into believing the populist momentum has stalled. The goal is to make the televised reality entirely divorced from the reality on the streets.

STASI-esque: tell the state what you own, where it came from and how your family structures it. Britain once courted wealth creators. Now it compiles dossiers on them. Capital is mobile. It will leave.

40% of Reform’s Shadow Cabinet in Wales are women, including me. And if you think I’m the token woman, ask my male colleagues how that’s working out for them. 😂

The symbolism writes itself. Masked radicals. Palestinian and communist flags. Breaking into the Colosseum, the inheritance of European civilisation stormed by those who despise it. We are living through a civilisational change. Unless we change course, it won’t be for the better.
Inaccettabile. The rioters forced the gates and occupied the Colosseum. Shocked tourists, the image of Rome destroyed around the world. After the attack on the Duomo a week ago, now they hit the symbol of Italy. And now? Where do we want to go?

I’ve worked with the EU. I’ve seen the institution up close: increasingly authoritarian, anti-democratic and contemptuous of national sovereignty. I voted for Brexit. I’d vote for Brexit again. Mass migration. Erosion of Western values. Deindustrialisation. Power shifting ever further from voters to an unaccountable European political class. Brexit didn’t fail. Brexit was never properly delivered. It was squandered by an inept, disloyal political establishment, and now that same establishment wants to use its own failure as the excuse for an undemocratic U-turn. Britain voted to leave. The answer to a botched Brexit is not surrendering our sovereignty back to Brussels.

I must say, the Flint Wrexham breakdown caught my eye. Two Reform MSs becoming three, while Plaid misplace one. Interesting arithmetic 😏
🚨NEW🚨 Another poll has shown Plaid Cymru’s support slide since the Senedd election. Beaufort Research found Rhun ap Iorwerth’s party is down two points on 32%, with Reform up 1 to 30%. This puts Reform within the margin of error of being the largest party.

This photograph deserves rather more scrutiny now Plaid Cymru is running Wales. When I worked in national security at the Foreign Office, Cuba was a country of security significance. Russian and Chinese influence and intelligence interests were matters to be taken seriously, not romanticised through the lens of socialist “solidarity”. Plaid apparently thought differently. Its politicians campaigned in solidarity with Cuba, called for closer Welsh Government links, organised events with Cuban ambassadors and challenged Cuba’s designation as a State Sponsor of Terrorism. Then, on 14 May 2025, Plaid welcomed the Cuban Ambassador into the Senedd. And where are some of those people now? Heledd Fychan, who co-organised Plaid’s Cuba solidarity event, is a Cabinet Minister. Luke Fletcher, one of Plaid’s most prominent advocates of closer links with Cuba, is now a Welsh Government special adviser. Others associated with pro-Cuba campaigning now sit around the Cabinet table. Diplomatic engagement is normal. Political naivety about states of security significance is not. Plaid’s Cuba obsession looked questionable in opposition. Now they’re running the Welsh Government, it deserves serious scrutiny.
A resurfaced photograph from a Senedd insider shows Plaid Cymru invited the Cuban Ambassador to the Senedd… to discuss the ‘unjust designation of Cuba on the U.S. State Sponsors of Terrorism List.’ They really are extremists.

That’s quite some leap. You’ve put two and two together and somehow got eight. By “we”, I mean Christians who care about the direction of our national Church. Living in Wales doesn’t disqualify me from having a view on the Church of England. And if you want my view on the Church in Wales, I’m sick to the back teeth of going to church and hearing about gender ideology, migration and the progressive political cause of the day. I go to church for Christianity, not political activism. So spare me the lecture.
chair of the legislation committee doesn’t know about a pretty significant part of religious legislation. sound👌

“Show respect”? Plaid is the party of government, not the royal family. My job is to scrutinise those in power, not defer to them. What’s remarkable is that you seem entirely untroubled by the treatment of women set out in my post, yet deeply troubled by me pointing it out. Not one fact challenged. Instead, scrutiny is dismissed as a “tantrum” and I’m told to “show respect”. That rather proves my point 🎯

We need an unapologetically patriotic national Church, rooted in the Bible and confident in promoting our Christian heritage. Not a taxpayer-subsidised pulpit for Marxist ideology, Net Zero dogma and fashionable political causes. Less ideology. More Christianity. dailysceptic.org/2026/10/24/…

Women and girls are collateral damage in the pursuit of mass-migration ideology. Now the so-called progressives are saying the quiet part out loud seemingly oblivious that they, too, may one day pay the price. NB: I’ve actually watched the exchange. Apparently @reformparty_uk has a “woman problem”. March 2026. Senedd election hustings in Mold, North Wales. Six parties. Six candidates. Only one woman. The @RUKWales candidate 💪 Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words.
