🔭 Stargazing tonight with my binoculars in front of my door, and WOW, Andromeda and the Double Cluster in all their greatness, straight from my village, the galaxy a soft oval of light that set off towards me some 2.5 million years ago.
😷 Actually, I cannot stay out for long though, since the air smells of the unfiltered woodstoves that Germany still allows in 2026, and standing in that smoke #airpollution 💨 with modern optics in my hands I feel like in the Stone Age. But the stars are amazing.

I am often asked why my corner of the internet feels different, and why I refuse to play the "Algorithm Game." The truth is simple: I don’t optimize for clicks, nor do I care for the manufactured noise, politics, and commercial hype that dominate our feeds. I choose to optimize for Deep Time instead.
Modern social media is built on a toxic dynamic that demands instant gratification and fragments our attention spans. It forces creators to compromise their thoughts just to feed an insatiable system. My response to this is radical deceleration—a deliberate choice to step away from the rush.
🔭 When I look through my telescopes, I am not just taking photos; I am operating a time machine. Every single photon hitting my camera sensor is a piece of cosmic history that has traveled across unimaginable gulfs of time. It is a tangible connection to the past.
When I captured the light of the Pleiades, I realized those photons began their journey back in 1582—the exact month the Gregorian calendar was introduced. Each time we gaze into the depths of space, we are confronted with the fact that our own unwritten chapters are already spreading outwards as light.
I think, this realization erodes our self-importance in the best way possible. Against the scale of billions of years, daily online outrages and engineered corporate hypes instantly shrink into absolute insignificance. The universe teaches us a profound sense of perspective.
That is why my photography isn’t about obsessive "pixel-peeping" or chasing artificial perfection for online validation. It’s about the raw, unfiltered signal. It’s about extracting meaning from the noise, a passion that traces back to my roots with analog circuits and techno vinyl in the 90s.
🌌 Whether it is the warm glow of a vacuum tube 🎵 on my desk or the faint light of a distant nebula, it is all interconnected by pure physics. For me, capturing that light feels like coming home. In a digital world that often feels entirely synthetic, it is a quiet reality check.
To the thousands of thinkers and stargazers who share this quiet oasis with me: Thank you. We will keep ignoring the paid sirens of the modern marketing hype. We will keep looking up, preserving our sense of wonder, and focusing on what truly matters.

🦖☄️ Insolite : la sonde Hera, en route vers l’astéroïde binaire Didymos pour la défense planétaire, embarque un dinosaure.
Le vaisseau de la mission Hera de l’Agence spatiale européenne s’est immortalisé avec un selfie pris dans l’espace lointain. Curiosité, on aperçoit sur la photographie un petit dinosaure baptisé Chicxu.
🔹 Son nom fait référence au cratère de Chicxulub, au Mexique, formé par l’impact de l’astéroïde responsable de l’extinction des dinosaures il y a environ 66 millions d’années.
🔹 L’autocollant de Chicxu est fixé sur le pare-soleil du télémètre laser de Hera, un instrument installé sur la partie supérieure de la sonde, baptisée « Asteroid Deck ». Cet équipement mesure la distance séparant le vaisseau de sa cible en envoyant des impulsions laser qui se réfléchissent à la surface de l’astéroïde.
🔹 Avant de pouvoir embarquer, la mascotte a dû passer une série de tests au laboratoire des matériaux et composants électriques au centre technique ESTEC, aux Pays-Bas. Les ingénieurs ont notamment vérifié sa résistance aux rayonnements ultraviolets du Soleil et sa capacité à rester solidement fixée à l’isolation multicouche de l’instrument.
🔹 Une autre précaution était indispensable : s’assurer que l’autocollant ne libérerait aucun gaz susceptible de contaminer les instruments scientifiques voisins. Deux versions ont été testées, l’une avec un dinosaure blanc sur fond noir et l’autre avec un dinosaure noir sur fond blanc. C’est finalement cette seconde version qui a été retenue pour le voyage.
👉 Une petite mascotte, mais un sacré voyage : Chicxu accompagne désormais Hera dans son exploration du système d’astéroïdes Didymos, avec un clin d’œil à la plus célèbre catastrophe cosmique de l’histoire des dinosaures…

Ok, ironically the planetary nebula isn't the star of the show, see what I did there, star, well never mind, anyway the main focus of this image is the stars just to the right of the planetary. It is the open star cluster M-46. The planetary that is so rudely taking up residence in the star cluster is NGC-2438.

A wife is without her husband. Three children are without their Dad. Yet everyone thinks the real victim in this, is a drunk groupie, who was cheating on her boyfriend. Someone who has anonymity for life and will probably get a financial payout.
I don’t care what anyone calls me. I have a unique perspective on this as someone who had a romantic encounter with Russell in the naughties and then collaborated with him on a political campaign in 2014.
If this drunk groupie thought he was a predator, why would she stand by and watch him sleep with 1000s more women. Didn’t she care about those women?
It’s not true that women in the comedy industry warned each other about Russell. No-one warned me and it could not have been more obvious that I was connected to him.
Just because I am a woman, doesn’t mean I should "believe all women."
I would be more likely to believe women who report criminals to the POLICE. Not the media, decades later.
I believe in the right to a fair trial. Convince me it was fair!
