Here are 10 ways that Trump’s Big Ugly Bill will make your life more expensive: 1. Your utility bills go up as we lose clean energy investments and electricity costs more; 2. Your rent goes up as predatory housing companies artificially jack up prices;

This is not true: the Clinton effort was led by VP Gore who assembled a task force of hundreds of federal workers to spend 6 months looking across gov’t and issue recommendations by September 1993. The recommendations became BIPARTISAN legislation that was passed into law.

Hey! @elonmusk your doge minions just fired me and my colleagues at CMMI. We were working on improving maternal health outcomes AT LOWER COSTS so that less pregnant women would die in this county. I thought that would fit nicely into your agenda?

I ran @USAID health programs for the last 3 years. Trump’s 90 day Stop Work Order on foreign assistance does serious damage to the world and the US. Examples:🧵

Can we please stop saying Elon did the Nazi salute because he’s Autistic? It’s insulting to Autistics. My daughter has Autism and she knows full well the implications of that salute.

I’m shocked by how misinformed the men in my life are on abortion bans. Most of them support a woman’s right to choose - but they don’t understand that bans put lives at risk. One said to me “I’m sure they don’t impact women who WANT to start a family”. They do - here’s why 🧵

I appreciate folks taking up for Tim Walz's son, but be careful. It's not OK that he cried because "sure he's a guy but he's also neuro-atypical." It's OK that he cried bc it's OK for guys to cry, period. Normal people do it. Healthy people do it. Men who don't are the problem

Boredom is often seen as something to avoid, but it can be incredibly beneficial for kids. We've started encouraging our 3-year-old to take 30-45 minutes for herself daily with no interruption from us to do anything she likes, and that can be "to do nothing!" During this time, she sees us focus on either reading or writing (no screens involved.) In the first few days, she would come to us after 10-15 minutes, but lately, she has been doing more than 30 minutes, and sometimes, all I see her doing is lying down on the couch and either singing to herself or doing nothing at all. When kids aren't constantly entertained by adults or engaged with screens, they have the space to: - Invent games and stories: This nurtures their imagination and storytelling skills. - Discover new interests: Kids might stumble upon new hobbies or passions without pre-planned activities. - Develop resilience: Figuring out how to entertain themselves helps build problem-solving skills and self-sufficiency. I'd love to hear about your experiences with your little ones!
