Yesterday, Putin revealed that Russian authorities are "in close touch" with Elon Musk about the technology Ukraine needs to defend itself. Our new report @TheAtlantic investigates how @elonmusk went from supporting Ukraine to coordinating with Moscow. theatlantic.com/national-sec…

14 dead at a train station in Dnipro. Two 15-year-old girls killed by a cruise missile in Chernihiv. Three dead in a Kremenchuk apartment strike. 56 injured, including 10 children. This is the reality of the Russian invasion. Yet the Trump administration just publicly called Putin a "humanitarian" while waiving sanctions, lifting tariffs, and authorizing the import of Russian diesel. We are no longer just abandoning a democratic ally; we are actively funding their slaughter.

Fox: Why are you here this morning? Trump rally attendee: Well, in the late 70s, I was a little too young to go to South America for the Jonestown Massacre. But this is as close as I'll ever get, so that's why I'm here. There's nothing like seeing a cult right up front.

WSJ: "The U.S. national debt reached 100% of gross domestic product for the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, hitting the triple-digit mark for the first time since 1946." And: "The outlook is rough." wsj.com/economy/federal-debt…

A reporter just asked Trump about the removal of Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia, but referred to him only as "Lt. Gen. Sylvia." "She’s got problems," Trump said. "She’s gonna have big problems. We’re very much looking for leakers"

BREAKING: America's 706 biggest corporations paid a 10.4% tax rate on $1.88 TRILLION in profits last year. That's the lowest rate researchers have found in more than 40 years of tracking. It's also less than half the 21% rate they're supposed to pay. This is insane.

I look forward to all the people here who think that only battle-tested veterans should be making war plans defending the firing of a three-star with *six* Bronze Stars because he disagreed with *checks notes* Elbridge Colby

Please continue the Cheesecake Factory outrage campaign. Gotta keep this going. Bessent’s guest star appearance was a nice bit of casting. Send Burgum out there next.
Obama 🔥: "The president wasn't even mad about the Saddam Hussein comparison! That part didn't bother him. But he was very upset about the Cheesecake Factory comments. He took great umbrage. The mobilized a whole of government response to that joke! They told the Treasury Secretary to hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory. This really happened."

Good chart. If you look at core inflation (which strips out gas and food prices), there are some worrying trends: 1) Big rise in goods prices. This is largely driven by Trump's tariffs (big move up since 2025) and now war. 2) Service sector inflation is picking up again. Basically no improvement for a year on services. 3) Rent prices are no longer improving. Housing inflation moving sideways. Bottom line: America's inflation problem is bigger than the war in Iran. (h/t to @NickTimiraos for the chart. I added the annotations)

Would anyone else on the right like to keep this going for another few days or no?
OBAMA: The president wasn't even mad. About The Saddam Hussein comparison. That part didn't bother him. But he was very upset about The Cheesecake Factory. He took great umbrage. He said I didn't understand the work of the artisans in the White House. They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke.

JUST IN: The US still has an inflation problem and it's getting worse again. PCE Inflation rose to 3.6% in September. That's the highest since May. Core PCE Inflation (excludes food and energy) ticked up to 3.1%. That's also the highest since May. Bottom line: Inflation is back near a 3-year high. It's largely due to war in Iran, but there's legitimate concern that inflation is spreading beyond energy.

Yes, consumer spending has been robust. You could even call it strong. But many people are spending more $$ than they bring in each month. The savings rate is falling. Credit card debt is at a record high. Personal bankruptcies are up. Personal loans are way up. There's clearly strain on a lot of Americans. Personal income in September: +0.2% Personal spending in September: +0.5% Inflation-adjusted spending in Sept: FLAT (0%)

When the Democrats take the US House next week, cutting off any/all funding for the #Iran War should be among the first three things they do. Hegseth is not only losing a war, he's putting Americans' lives at risk.
JUST IN - Pete Hegseth fires the Pentagon’s chief planner, Army Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia, from the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Scoop from @nancyayoussef This means the Joint Staff that serves the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs General Dan Caine is without its chief planner on the eve of possible resumption of strikes against Iran. It is the 2nd General serving in the Pentagon’s top planning role (J-5) that has been fired/forced out by Hegseth.

This is deeply troubling. We just learned that Pete Hegseth’s Spiritual Advisor said that “separation of church and state does not exist” Pete Hegseth is a threat to American democracy and must be fired immediately.

NEW: Russia is actively supporting Houthi operations to disrupt global energy markets by providing the Houthis with satellite imagery of Saudi oil and military infrastructure. Russian satellites have routinely been positioned above major Saudi energy and military sites in the days prior to and after Houthi attacks on those sites since July 2026. (1/2)
