Time for a belated (my graphics friend recently had a kid, congrats, Laura!) victory lap! On Saturday, with a clear quorum and over 82% of the vote, I was endorsed by the DFL! With a clear-cut progressive park board slate, it's time to chart a new future for our parks!

Donald Trump is the most corrupt president in living memory, and even for him, this is shocking. Congress must investigate this corrupt $400+ million overpayment to a Trump donor immediately.
"New records obtained by KARE 11 show the company that owned a vacant private prison in Appleton, Minnesota offered to sell it to the state in 2025 for $75 million. One year later, the Trump administration agreed to use taxpayer funds to buy the same abandoned prison from CoreCivic, Inc., for $495.6 million. The price difference, $420 million, is more than taxpayers are estimated to have lost in Minnesota’s much-publicized Feeding Our Future fraud scandal." kare11.com/article/news/inve…

Q: If the administration has declared war on waste and fraud, can you explain the $420 million overpayment for a prison in Appleton, Minnesota, when the company offered it to the state of Minnesota for $75 million? BESSENT: That question is a waste of time.

Chris Finch on the leagues efforts to slow down the amount of flopping “Well, here’s what my take on it… I was all for the league cleaning up flopping, you know, when I heard they were going to do it… unfortunately I think the league has their own definition of what a flop is, which is needed but confusing when like you see a flop, everyone kind of knows what it is. It doesn’t really need to be overly explained. I think where they got it wrong is all these flops are coming on the defense and that’s not what the people want out of the game. They want the flops on the offensive players out of the game. You know, the league was very intentional about saying the fans didn’t want to see flopping but that’s not the flopping, they don’t care if a defender spills down and shouts. What they care is that the offensive players are baiting the game and falling down and getting unnecessary free throws. That’s what they care about because that’s not really in the spirit of what anyone wants to tune in and watch”

I actually wanted to ratify Ja playing under Micah Nori for a great all-around game, so I clicked on the video of the 8 assists to see how they unfolded. At least half are fraudulent. It's a trend around the league, made fraught by gambling, albeit less so now without prop bets.
Wow, the assist inflation numbers the Portland scorekeeper gave Ja Morant last night would have made the guys in Utah fluffing up John Stockton blush. Pro tip: Inbounding the ball to a teammate who drives through three opponents for a layup is not a dime.

We know how to make our streets safer, so we did it 600 times. Red light cameras reduce red light running by 80% and T-bone crashes by 65%. Most importantly, they help New Yorkers get home safely. That's why we installed new red light cameras at 600 intersections across the five boroughs to help stop dangerous driving before tragedy strikes, and make our streets safer for everyone who walks, rolls, drives, or takes the bus. nydailynews.com/2026/10/21/n…

Red light cameras are extremely effective. We need to expand them in Minneapolis!

Looks like Pimento on Bde Maka Ska is closing. That’s such a great location, there’s no reason a decent restaurant couldn’t have lines around the block like Bread & Pickle does at Lake Harriet.

I've convicted over 350 fraudsters, one every 8 days. Ron knowingly took donations from fraudsters who stole $1.6 million from the government. Who do you think is really serious about fighting fraud?

This should be a campaign ending moment. Ron Schutz admits that known fraudsters are supporting his campaign AND he doubles down on accepting their money when pressed by Keith Ellison. Why do fraudsters want Ron Schutz in office so badly?

DIGGER. Yeah, I completely get why this is a masterpiece. Incredibly funny, and maybe the angriest film. "Done With Everyone's Bullshit: The Movie". If i said what this film is telling us to do I'd end up on a list.

“I’d venture that ‘Digger’ is actually a better, more fluid film than ‘Birdman’—less contrived and constrained in its staging, more mysterious in its intentions and effects,” Justin Chang writes. Read his review of Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s latest film. newyorkermag.visitlink.me/Et…
