Labels need to start encouraging artists to build businesses outside music, just in case the music doesn't work out or their careers don't go as planned. Almost like what football academies are beginning to do, preparing players for life beyond football.

Neither, labels can sign artiste based on potential & invest in developing them but management cannot manufacture talent or take over the artiste responsibility to make good music. It’s a partnership, both sides have a role to play

Going by this, is it correct to say that these Labels sign Artistes who lack the capability to make “good music” even when provided the right mgmt? Or do these signed Artistes loose their ability/responsibility to create “good music” the moment they get signed?

Him crashing out is not even valid at all! Especially with the approach he took 🤦 It's not like his fellow artists completely abandoned him. They know what it felt like and they actually brought him close, created opportunities for him to shine, involved him in whatever they were doing, and even spoilt him to some extent. It's not something everybody can do. God really blessed him with wonderful people but he couldn't see that. All he could see was how they were progressing and he wasn't, very sad. Tell me, is it their fault that he is where he is today?? I mean they tried but did he actually try to look at everything in a different way other than being envious and spiteful? They tried helping him the best way they could but it wasn't enough. He's just a fool fr, very ungrateful.😒

99% of Labels in Nig only bring money to fund their Artiste’ lifestyle & music, and not quality mgmt. Because if mgmt is the focus, we should see more Labels breaking Artistes annually. Despite the money being spent by Labels, unsigned Artistes are making waves than the signed.
