Fun fact, the og owners of Uniswap.com wanted 7 figures, but we refused to pay that amount
So SBF bought it (for 7 figures) and pointed it to a fork - I guess to flex / mess with us
This malicious use of the domain was enough for our legal team to get it for free

Phantom's no-action relief from the CFTC is now available to all non-custodial software providers.
Few things make me prouder than being part of a team that sticks their neck out to change what's possible.
Even prouder when it starts to benefit the whole industry.
In March, Phantom became the first passive software provider to receive no-action relief from the CFTC. We're grateful to the CFTC for working with us to chart a new path for non-custodial software providers to connect people with regulated markets, all while the provider never holds users' funds or makes decisions about their trades.
Now the CFTC has opened that same path to other software providers, and that's a win for the whole industry. This is how it should work: software built to protect consumers, paired with regulated partners, giving more people safe access to the financial services they want 🤝.

I’ve been a founder, early eng at a unicorn, and led high-performing orgs. I disagree.
Great teams work incredibly hard. But intensity is a tool, not a culture.
If your edge depends on nobody taking time off, you haven’t built a high-performing org. You’ve built a fragile one.
I'm torn internally when people take time off. Is this normal?
On the one hand, I want people to relax, enjoy time with their families and take a break. I genuinely want it.
On the other hand, it pains me so much when I know we could move faster. I don't understand how you can take time off knowing that a competitor is not.
In the end, I much prefer the latter rather than the former. I just struggle to admit it.

The best Staff+ engineers I’ve worked with weren’t just great ICs. They made everyone around them better.
AI feels oddly similar to me. The real skill (and why I think so much demand for staff+) is building a better collective system, not just making yourself faster

A few years ago, taking a position on a pre-IPO company like SHEIN meant knowing the right people or having the right brokerage account
now you can just open your @phantom wallet 😉

@phantom is ontop to this trend -- default is now a seedless onboarding flow, users have a single Cash balance across chains, Apple Pay onramp, gasless infra, the crypto specifics are being hidden at every step. This is the way forward -- blockchain tech that just works TM
For crypto founders, the biggest lesson from @fomo and @Pumpfun ascendance is that the distribution model of the last 5 years for apps is moot.
Web3 is dead, wallet connect is dead, dApps are dead.
The new plan is vertically integrated mobile: hide the crypto mechanics entirely. Single balance across chains, integrated onramp (Apple Pay is king), no bridges, no seed phrases or private keys (sign in with Google or X).
For wallet apps themselves, this presents an existential crisis. The user demands simplicity & the feeling of safety. In the past, your wallet was a gateway to crypto. Now, I hold a deposit in each app I use and I don't yet care if they talk to each other.
As always, we go through bundling and unbundling cycles. If Phantom and Jupiter and Metamask were bundling, we are now seeing a great unbundling.
