The National Police Service reiterates its unwavering commitment to public safety and security and affirms that gang organisations have no space to operate in any part of the country.
In line with this commitment, police officers from Kasarani Sub-County yesterday, 28 October 2026, conducted an intelligence-led operation aimed at dismantling a criminal network that has been terrorising members of the public in the Mirema Springs area of Kasarani Sub-County, following numerous reported cases in which suspected gangs have been using crude weapons to maim and rob members of the public.
Acting on the intelligence, officers arrested eight key suspects. The suspects were placed in custody at Kasarani Police Station pending their arraignment in court. Additionally, an assortment of crude weapons recovered during the raid has been secured as exhibits at the same station.
We commend the collaboration between our officers and the community in combating these criminal networks.
The National Police Service will continue to sustain these targeted operations and urges members of the public to remain vigilant and proactively report any suspicious activities or individuals to the nearest police station.
