Watching the vote margin grow for Scott Colom by the hour has me thinking of Emmett Till, Medgar Evers, Myrlie Evers-Williams, Amzie Moore, Fannie Lou Hammer, Bob Moses and so many others. When they call it there will be a shout of joy from Heaven and from Earth.

Mississippi used CREDIT reports to determine who is an active voter! Anyone who doesn’t have a credit card was listed as an INACTIVE VOTER!
There’s NO CONNECTION between using credit cards and voting! Many registered active voters had to fill out PROVISIONAL BALLOTS!

The Louisiana government effectively banned French and Louisiana Creole in public schools on June 18, 1921, when the state adopted a new Louisiana State Constitution.
The state legislated against our heritage. My grandmother spoke Louisiana Creole around friends who spoke it but didn't pass it to us out of fear.
This is one of the oldest known examples of someone speaking Louisiana Creole nytimes.com/2026/10/30/us/lo…

Excited to tell the story of my closing ad & my favorite of the campaign. @ArunChaud started coming to MS before the primary to help us understand organic digital campaigning and the vibes of MS. He returned several times.
As we discussed our closing ad, he suggested we do something outside the Medgar home & pay homage to voting rights as the closing message, something he knew was of the upmost importance to me. He wrote a beautiful script & @RyanSayles_ again worked his magic on the camera. I’ll be eternally grateful for them.
Medgar Evers was killed in his driveway because he refused to accept a Mississippi where some were denied the right to vote.
He stood with thousands who marched, organized and sacrificed so future generations could have a voice. We owe it to them not to take that right for granted. On Tuesday, honor their legacy. Vote.

In the runup to the election, I was part of a group of Jewish Democrats in Michigan who had to make a choice. Passions were running high, arguments ensued, but at the end of the day, we decided to support @AbdulElSayed
The response on this platform was immediate, but in too many cases, it was filled with vile, Islamophobic responses. I was called a Nazi and (ironically), a Jew-hater.
So instead of lashing out, I invite you to watch this two-minute video posted by @peterdaou After watching it if you can't at least understand that Abdul is a smart, considerate human and not a terrorist, then I can't help you. But I hope you are open-minded enough to see what we see.
I'm glad this awful election is over, but I'm just as glad to embrace a better future with Abdul in the Senate.

I've been in politics for a quarter century. It's hard to express how staggering it is to see a conversation like this on corporate US media. The Morning Joe panel gobsmacked by the directness of @AbdulElSayed's points.

In addition to Ilhan Omar’s reelection to Congress, NINE more Somalis were elected to the State Senate and State House across Minnesota, Ohio, and Oregon.
I am speechless.

James Talarico has long fought for the people of Texas! This was him in 2021, when the Texas House passed his bill, Javier Ambler’s Law, banning Texas law enforcement agencies from partnering with reality TV shows after Javier was killed by police in 2019 during the filming of one.
Javier Ambler’s life was worth MORE than entertainment, and Talarico helped turn that tragedy into meaningful legislative change to protect other families from the same heartbreak. I’m confident @jamestalarico will bring that same commitment to justice and accountability to the U.S. Senate!

The question on university campuses should now be how to get rid of all the administrators who caved to and collaborated with a grossly unpopular political agenda, including curricular changes, reversals on diversity mandates, buying into AI hype, clamping down on Gaza protests…
