Mom and pop housing providers have been begging for a seat at the table for years. We are the largest segment of rental property ownership yet excluded from policy discussions. Instead, policy makers have relied on tenant "advocate" lobbyist insulated by their DC white papers. – at Hammond, IN

The incompetence in city hall has led to Chicago being the most expensive place in the world to replace lead pipes. Biden gave $330 million to replace them and Chicago replaced a record low compared to other cities.

Those two words created quite the career opportunity, kind of like kaepernick saying I Can't Breathe after he was demoted to second string qb.
Macklemore speaks at the opening night of his ‘Free Palestine Tour’ in Dublin: “Those two words [Free Palestine] are so threatening to some people. They would rather silence those two words than confront what they actually mean. Freedom that requires another person’s oppression isn’t freedom at all.”

His last 2 videos are instructing illegals on how to evade ICE, and now this one reminding everyone that no ID is required to vote in NYC. They aren’t being subtle, folks.
Mamdani: "You do not need to bring [ID] to vote" (2 seconds later) "our elections are secure"

inventory rises when rates head above 7%, but you can see clearly who refuses to build housing across the Midwest, home values still rising 5Xs the nation.
Interesting to hear Mike talk about how the inventory increases are now more in the Midwest and northeast finally.

THIS IS THE WAY (and you know i don't say that often!)
Deep lots (like the 50x150 drawn here) are a challenge for urban scale single lot infill, but we need to look not just at the building - but also the urbanism that could be built out over time. These sketches show our “five/six” prototype (as detached, with side yard & without)

official, published DSA positions include but are not limited to: abolishing the senate, the supreme court, and the executive branch, abolishing prisons and ICE, opening the border, and seizing most major industries
UNDERCOVER: GAVIN NEWSOM SAYS THE DSA IS "GOING TO BE DOMINANT" AND "MAINSTREAM" IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY! "The DSA, the energy and the desire and demand for bold change, not incremental change, is very much going to be dominant. I mean, that's going to be a mainstream Democratic movement. Absolutely. No question about that." That's California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a likely 2028 presidential candidate, speaking to an undercover journalist while campaigning in New Hampshire. Asked by a "younger voter" who said "we don't want Kamala Harris, we want more democratic socialist policies": "No one is arguing to manage the status quo and fail more efficiently." "You can't play in the margins anymore. The system's broken. It's completely unbalanced, and we can't manage the decline. We have to completely reimagine."

10 years ago they mocked us for claiming Obama was a socialist. Now they are proudly proclaiming their allegiance to Communism. All they ever do is lie.

One day after Lula was declared the winner of Brazil's elections, his opponent -- Sen. Flavio Bolsonaro -- just had had his passport seized by the Federal Police. Theose police were sent by notorious tyrant Judge Alexandre de Moraes. What a lovely democratic image.

“Machiavellian chameleon” @LarryOConnor TORCHES Gavin Newsom for telling a DSA and Marxism supporter that her call for bold change would become mainstream Democratic politics, accusing him of saying whatever it takes to gain power. “You understand that every single thing that he SPEWS out of his mouth to ingratiate himself to the pretty young girl who wants socialism and Marxism at this event is contrary to his entire political career, but it doesn’t matter because the man is a Machiavellian chameleon who will say and do whatever it takes to attain power.” “He’s fine if the country goes Marxist, he just wants to be in charge.”

Nah, we live in a boomer centric crony capitalist society.

Rate hikes are intended to cool demand. But in U.S. rental housing, rates are cooling supply -- not demand. Apartment absorption is on track for the third-hottest year in modern history, and rent growth (while still modest) has climbed up to a 3-year high, and could keep going with less supply on the horizon. Does that mean rent inflation is about to re-accelerate? Not necessarily. But it's a plausible scenario that isn't getting the attention it probably warrants, given that rents are the single-largest variable in the CPI. Reminder that most of us think about housing inflation in terms of home prices. But home prices have zero role in the CPI, where a survey of ~6k rental units per month (with a success rate <50%) is designed to estimate housing inflation for the two-thirds of Americans who own their homes.

They finally caught this sorry POS admitting it all on camera. They are seeking to completely destroy the constitution and turn us into a socialist country.

When you consider George W. Bush inherited a budget surplus from the good 90s economy, then used 9/11 to start 20 year wars while doing tax cuts, then bailed out the banks that gave us the 2008 financial crisis…the excitement makes some sense in hindsight. But Obama just decided to sell out and get rich. His main legislative ‘achievement’ is healthcare premiums that are bankrupting the middle class. He squandered the chance to be a transformative POTUS to live on Martha’s Vinyard with Netflix $$.
I can’t believe we ever got excited about ‘Barack Obama.’ I think about it and it just fills me with embarrassment and shame.

When you see lefties exulting over Lula’s “win” in Brazil, remember exactly what they’re endorsing: an anti-America communist whose “victory” came courtesy of blatant corruption. They’re actually showing you who they are.

What's nice is kamala lost in 2024 so we still have a supreme court and electoral college, though the fake news media is still cooked.
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva came from behind to win Brazil’s runoff election, halting a right-wing wave sweeping Latin America and defying predictions that the 80-year-old political veteran had finally reached the end of his extraordinary career. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Imagine the Supreme Court stopping the count after polls close and ordering polls reopen for two hours ONLY in Philadelphia, Detroit, Milwaukee, and Atlanta, and you sort of get the scope of what's currently happening in Brazil.

Same goes for property taxes
Just throwing this out there: leave NYC (or SF, LA) and stop competing for scarce space and lifestyle with global elites who out earn you 10x? It’s a big country. NYC is a neighborhood you are simply priced out of. Otherwise, it’s your choice to stay. Accept tradeoffs.
