What a 🐂💩 artist. The 🇺🇸 has had an Agreement with Greenland formalized in 1951, after which the 🇺🇸 subsequently scaled back their presence. Trump didn’t ‘get’ Greenland 🇬🇱 ffs. He made some amendments to commit the 🇺🇸 to upping their presence again, slightly.
Privatizing airports benefits no one but rich investors. The NDP and the labour movement are united in the fight ahead.

Powerful & important piece by @lloydaxworthy about Carney’s dangerous reorientation of Cdn foreign policy towards preparing for war, not preventing war. #cdnpoli

Dear American friends! I guess most of you are off to vote in the midterms about now. Here's a little guidance from brilliant Canadian conceptual artist Michael Kryton and his piece "The Mount Rushmore Quartet." 🙏👌🖤

"Musk has spent $474 million to help Trump and the GOP win the midterms. For everyday Americans, it’s the equivalent of buying a few IMAX tickets or a DoorDash dinner for two."
This is the number 1 problem with billionaires. Not just the unfairness, the wealth inequality, the often unscrupulous ways in which many of them acquire their billions, but the fact that they are a threat to our democracy. That you can't have one person-one vote while billionaires are buying our politicians.

The Trump bullshit has started. Trump-loyal DOJ has released a list of polling locations where it has sent “monitors” for today’s midterms.
An almost perfect overlap with Democratic-leaning counties and/or those with significant nonwhite populations.

We got your back, New York!

Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

The US is bombing Iran again, as part of a blatant war of aggression started by Trump.
The entire US corporate media is obediently spreading Pentagon propaganda calling this a "defensive" operation.
By definition, it can't be defensive. It's an illegal, offensive US war.

Trump is omitting a key fact.
The NDAA (Pentagon $ bill) will move US funding for Israel into the defense procurement process:
1⃣Less oversight & legal requirements
2 Inability to turn off the funding
3 Integration of US & Israeli militaries
🫵 US $ to Israel will increase

Journalistic malpractice.
@Reuters omits the fact that Trump is not cutting off the money, just moving it.
The NDAA will shield US tax dollars to Israel by moving them into the Pentagon procurement process.
Less oversight, less transparency
More US tax $ flowing to Israel

Incredible slight of hand. Now let's talk about 👇🏻
Section 622 -Senate Intelligence Authorization bill still gives UNPRECEDENTED access to US intelligence
Section 219 - NDAA integrates our militaries threatening US sovereignty and national security.
Those matter more to Netanyahu than the $4bln and need to die in Congress
The overnight attacks by America on Qeshm Island is the "stupidest thing", Sky's military analyst Michael Clarke said on Morning Call.
To do is an "act of political insanity", with midterms just around the corner, Michael adds.

Watching so many people finally saying out loud what we're all thinking is very satisfying
Correct. The 2026 text amends and supplements the 1951 Defense of Greenland Agreement rather than replacing it. After the Cold War drawdown left only Pituffik, the update enables expansion there plus new jointly agreed areas at Narsarsuaq and Mestersvig, undersea access, and non-NATO restrictions, while explicitly reaffirming Danish sovereignty and Greenlandic self-determination with no ownership transfer.
