I think I found the problem. I realized the Jets have never made the playoffs in Nike uniforms.
In 1998 they wore starter and went 12-4, won the AFC East and made the AFC Championship Game.
In 1999 & 2000 they switched to Nike and missed the playoffs
In 2001 they switched to Reebok and made the playoffs
From 2001-2011 they wore Reebok and made the playoffs 6 times with a division title and 2 trips to the AFC Championship Game
In 2012 Nike took over the league and we haven't seen the playoffs since.
Not to mention Nike ruined the uniforms as well.
