Claude Code is one of the worst named products. It's not just for code. Watch this Hermès ad. 30 seconds. 8 shots. Voice. Music. Even text branding burned in with ffmpeg. Clopus 4.5 wrote a script, orchestrated ElevenLabs, Google Veo 3, downloaded music and made this from scratch.

.@ryolu_ talks about why "final designs" don't make sense in software: "The first mock is never right." "Because AI is really good at composing parts, we need to build good bricks."
Ep. 34: Ryo Lu - It's all the Same Thing @ryolu_ leads design at @cursor_ai: the ai-enabled coding tool that has become one of the fastest growing startups ever. He has spent his career building great software tools, from Notion to Stripe to Asana. Ryo is deeply philosophical, but he strongly favors pragmatism over ideology. This balance makes for a great tension of thinking and doing, and leads to prolific output. He is constantly balancing simplicity and complexity, order and chaos, realness and abstraction. There is no better example of Ryo's approach than his frequently personal project, ryOS, a (mostly) "vibe-coded" website that is full of soul, not slop. Link below. Ryo treats software like an organism or ecosystem to be shaped. To him, creation feels less like painting and more like working with clay. He argues that thanks to how far tools like Cursor have come, anyone who makes software should get closer to shaping the raw material: code. Of course, this is a reminder to any creative to not get too far from their material. And to all of us--in a world of automation--to remember that our distinctiveness is what makes us invaluable. Please enjoy. A photos-only social app won't work now. It succeeded in the 2000s because photos were enough to express ourselves uniquely, but with their abundance and how easy it is to fabricate them, depth has become essential for self-expression. The stories behind our cluttered galleries need to be highlighted. Writing captions was never fun. We should retain the simplicity of our networks while giving more control over whom we share memories with. At @twinememories we leverage AI to create a space where humans stories and connections thrive.

fun bit of history: early consumer browsers like Netscape had a full visual web page editor and it was called Composer
This is the fundamental conflict at the heart of the web: it was originally built as a read-write medium, using amazing OOP tech (NeXTSTEP/Objective-C), but then it had to be ported to other platforms, and became read-only.

Nano Banana can create a consistent character across scenes. Change the environment, camera angle and location whilst keeping consistency. Extremely powerful, and am impressed how it keeps the same color/filter style.
