What if Earth had embeddings, like words do in an LLM? Now it does, for every 10-meter square of the world’s land 🌍 Scroll through this interactive story: narrative.allen.ai/olmoearth…
Exactly why I’m bullish about @twinememories
one of the things i’m most obsessed with right now is how software in the ai era can create entirely new forms of connection, community, & coordination rather than productivity focused utilitarian experiences. this goes entirely against chris dixon’s famous framing of come for utility & stay for the network cuz almost all utilities can now be generated on demand. & often the generated personal ones are better than the one size fits all.
obviously so are others w/ personal agents (which i have written about extensively) but there are i think fun new mechanics that were never possible before that could have just a ripple effects if they work.
& no i am not talking about invites etc.
Ai @allen_ai , we released Olmo-core 3 (allenai.org/blog/olmocore3), an open training infrastructure for trillion-parameter range of models.
If you’ve ever wondered how model training and scaling works, here’s a fun and interactive way to unwrap that: narrative.allen.ai/scaling-u…
I joined Ai2 a few weeks back and this is so much fun designing and building!
A model can sound like it knows a drug—even when it doesn’t.
Researchers at @UTAustin, @Northeastern, & @UTMDAnderson found LLMs often lack drug-specific knowledge and instead lean on morphology.
Because Olmo is open, they could use it to trace why. 🧵

Twine is the easiest way to tell your stories to the people who matter
@twinememories
The future platform for human stories might be the one that scales the intimacy of a letter rather than the reach of a broadcast.
Memories are meant to be memorable. Not lost in the blur of chats, galleries, and feeds.
Make your memorable Twines with @twinememories
I have been using @twinememories on my adventures with my cat!

On the waitlist for @askproductai Golden Hour 002 tomorrow and genuinely hoping to get in.
I’ve spent 9 years designing products at the intersection of AI and commerce. I’m the Director of Product Design at CommerceIQ.
The problems @askproductai is working on, cutting through commerce confusion, building tools that actually serve shoppers are exactly the space I’ve been living in. This isn’t a random RSVP. I’m actively exploring what’s next, and this feels like the right room to be in.
@TessFenn @michaelquoc any chance there’s a spot? Would love to meet the team in person and be part of the conversation tomorrow night. 🙏

Human memory is a scam.
I was so confident my friend’s wedding was in 2025. My mom said it happened in December of 2024.
Scrolled through my gallery past an unreasonable number of wedding photos and… she was right.
Do we really forget things this fast?

Happy New Year 2026 ✨
Before the year fully begins, what was the craziest, most alive, or most meaningful moment you lived through last year?
Here’s mine - I got a cat and his name is Bailey
Seriously. I’d love to read it.

A photos-only social app won't work now. It succeeded in the 2000s because photos were enough to express ourselves uniquely, but with their abundance and how easy it is to fabricate them, depth has become essential for self-expression. The stories behind our cluttered galleries need to be highlighted. Writing captions was never fun. We should retain the simplicity of our networks while giving more control over whom we share memories with. At @twinememories we leverage AI to create a space where humans stories and connections thrive.
Holidays Reflection Prompt:
“In 2025, how often did I push back vs align with your answers?”
Try it. Know yourself a little better before the year ends.

While the rest fabricate your memories, @twinememories enriches them. That’ll be the place real human stories thrive.
