Many view the Somali Scandals in Minnesota as an outrage that should result in jail, deportation, citizenship revocation, & legislative reform. Our comb-over conservative elected officials view the scandal as a hook that will get them on TV.

It was a sub?
I recall setting off the nukes for thrust, but thought it was a space ship.
I will have to see if I can find an audiobook.
Replying to @FilmLadd
Although they used nuclear bombs to propel the sub into space and it was a suicide mission. IIRC

Gavin Ortlund filmed a video called “The Dangers of Christian Nationalism.” One of his chief concerns is the loss of religious toleration, a first amendment right that Ortlund considers to be sacrosanct. This is fascinating for a number of reasons.
First of all, it reveals that Gavin has a religious devotion to the Constitution, over and above what he finds in Scripture. To be specific, it is the Constitution as viewed through the lens of 20th Century Liberalism. The founders never intended the 1A to protect demonic statues and Islamic ghettos.
Secondly, Gavin does a Jesus juke, explaining that we actually win by losing. After accusing Christian nationalists of commingling the spiritual and the political realms, he actually does that himself by encouraging Christians to accept worldly losses (and even death) in order to be more than conquerors spiritually.
Thirdly, Gavin’s a priori commitments to liberalism actually prevent him from what he says at the end, “So let us by all means do everything we can to now bring his lordship into every aspect of life, in all the ways that we can, including the political realm.” Ortlund has already conceded that public idolatry must be tolerated! So it’s not “by all means” in any sense at all. It would be more accurate to say “by all means that aren’t mean.”
This is very much the same loser theology promoted by Phil Johnson and others, wherein we should vote for godly candidates and laws, but just don’t take it too far since we win by losing.
Of course, this is all designed to ultimately discourage Christians from political engagement, or worse to permit them to vote for the left. As Gavin’s father Ray Ortlund posted in 2024, “Never Trump. This time Harris. Always Jesus.” 🤮
New Testament commands are PERSONAL commands, not governmental commands.
All can be done by the church. Mine does.
So YOU pick a lane.
"The Texas Public Policy Foundation warned President Trump against a hasty response if the Democratic Socialist of America sparks a street protest crisis."
It's the same type of collaborationists who warned @nayibbukele not to be too hard on the gangs.

Now ask yourself the far more dangerous question
Who told Christians they couldn’t have their own countries?
Who convinced conservative Christians it would violate their own principles to conserve Christendom?

Opponents of American nationalists will act like they have accomplished some great and damning "gotcha" if they get you to say that you are very much for America being a majority White nation.
But they will never be able to demonstrate why this desire is evil.
Is it a damnable sin for the Japanese man to love and seek to maintain his nation as majority Japanese? The Frenchman to want France to be French? The Englishman to want England to be English? The German to want Germany to be German? Do we not see the consequences as many of these places fall to foreign immigration and invasion?
It's just utter silliness. Only Whites are forbidden from this ordinary and God-originated desire to live amongst his people, perpetuate his lineage and culture, and do so to the glory of God.
But many of us have stopped caring what these critics think of our ordinary Christian political ethics—and I mean *at all.* We simply don't care what they think anymore. These shrill opponents have made themselves stupid in their opposition of the very nature of the world God made. They refute themselves more ably than I ever could.
On a fundamental level, they have ceased to recognize their own prior commitments—which inevitably prove to be liberalism, not Christianity.
How many wives did Adam have?
Is there actually a verse in the Bible that says a Christian man cannot have more than one wife?
When you read the Bible, you will find several men who had multiple wives. Some of them were even blessed by God despite having more than one wife.
For example:
• Abraham had Sarah and Hagar (Genesis 16:1–3).
• Jacob had Leah and Rachel, as well as their servants, Bilhah and Zilpah (Genesis 29:21–30; 30:1–13).
• David had multiple wives (2 Samuel 5:13).
• Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines (1 Kings 11:3).
So, why is polygamy such a controversial topic among Christians today?
But then again, what do you think?
Do you believe a Christian man can have more than one wife, or is polygamy against God’s will? Would your opinion change if the man in question were a pastor?
"Despite the apparent gains, Republicans do not appear to be getting much political traction from the improvements."
The downside to Tough On Crime. When you succeed, ppl don't worry about crime because they're safe.
They forget to credit the person responsible for their safety.

He's taking the side of sodomy against being on the side of the Bible.
It's not a gotcha, it's a revelation.

Young men are being told that love of people, place, and inheritance is itself morally suspicious. God’s Word never told them to become men from nowhere so they could love their neighbor.
You were born into a house somebody else built. Your fathers arrived first, and so did the language, the churches, the laws, the wars, the sins, and the graves. You did not make this nation. You were handed a debt, not an entitlement.
Inheritance bestows obligations. You are a steward standing between your grandfather and your grandson, and both have a right to something from you. Conserve what your fathers did faithfully. Confess what they did wickedly. Repair what they ruined. Build what the next generation will need. Do it all for the Lordship of Christ.
God “made from one man every nation of mankind” and set the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek Him (Acts 17:26-27). Love your people. Keep your borders. Perform the stewardship Christ laid on you.
Pastors, give young men that vision before they take their questions somewhere poisonous.
But you didn't follow, so you must be a liar.
I'll have to tell my stockbroker to cancel today's order.

So, trying to sell your book in the bio while insulting people. 😄 No way I'm buying anything from you.
This is the second time I've seen the Fig Newton attack on Twitter.
Jesus was hungry, saw a fig tree full of leaves, and went looking for fruit.
It wasn’t even the season for figs.
When he found none, he cursed the tree and it died.
A tree punished for not producing fruit out of season.
Christians can’t explain this, so they quickly call it a parable or a symbol.
But the text doesn’t present it as a story. It presents it as something that actually happened.
How do you defend cursing a tree for not having fruit when it wasn’t supposed to?
We know Jesus (peace be upon him) didn’t do this. It’s the altered Bible that made it up.
Why don't you get married and get off the dole?
We all went together to vote for Democrat Josh Turek for U.S. Senate in Iowa!
Josh opposes the recent federal cuts to SNAP and the tighter eligibility requirements.
I'm worried about losing my benefits because of this crackdown. I've been a loyal SNAP recipient for 15 years. Doesn't that count for something? 💙🗳️
