Alright, let's give this another shot! I have way too many things I want to share to disappear here on X. I look forward to the positive interactions... and we'll deal with the negative ones swiftly 😂

So, first I had to test the cigarette lighter! At first it wasn't working well, and I had to bend the tabs inside the cylinder to "grip" the lighter and hold it in place better. The darn thing would actually eject and land on the floor before that!
So yea, that's where we are at! Look at all of these nice drive letters in File Manager, including drive Z: for my network share. This is so overkill, but it's also fun. Thanks for following along.

From there, I decided to run MemMaker. Strange how MemMaker doesn't suggest DOS=HIGH as a setting. After MemMaker ran, and after I added it, we pretty much have all of conventional memory free!
Next, I installed Iomega tools for Windows. Nice how it shows the Bernoulli drive! I removed the "guest" addition to autoexec.bat since we already configured Iomega drivers earlier and we don't need it.
So next up was sound. This PCChips M747 motherboard has CMI 8330 audio. Settings from DOS do propagate to Windows. I had to make an IRQ change or two, in the end, these settings here worked, and the audio test worked!
After installing Windows for Workgroups, I decided to configure my Bernoulli and ATAPI Zip drives. Installing the ASPI drivers for my AHA-2940AU card and Iomega tools for DOS 5.51, I made an adjustment or two to add ATAPI drivers (and take out parallel port drivers)!
I decided to install DOS and Windows 3.11 for Workgroups on the Tower of Retrocomputing Power! I'll list a few highlights in a 🧵

This whole concept is ridiculous, that's the idea, haha

I see where you are coming from. They did market the drives with the lite software which was crap. And without a tape accelerator (which was also an upgrade) it was slow. That probably really wasn't good for their perception. With the right upgrades I found them decent.

Yea this is all just for fun as you know

Did they have cigarette lighters? 😂
From there, it was a matter of setting up partitions, and when I booted up, we can see the two partitions I made in Windows 3.11's File Manager. Anyway, that's it, a short thread for once. Thanks for following along!!

Alright! So I put the CF card in an adapter, and then put it in the hard drive sleigh, and then into the Armada 7700 drive bay adapter. And I powered up the system. Hard drive failure! So I moved the jumper on the CF card adapter. Success!
