How does 🇮🇱 democracy work?
In Israel, every citizen aged 18 and over has the right to vote.
One vote determines which party they support. The results determine how the 120 seats in the Knesset are distributed, which parties enter parliament and who can form a government.
A 3.25% electoral threshold. A parliamentary majority of 61 seats.

Sheep poisoned and left to die.
For the 17th time this year, Palestinian attackers have deliberately targeted livestock in Judea and Samaria in an attempt to harm Jewish shepherds and destroy their livelihoods.
This is calculated cruelty. Poisoning innocent animals to inflict suffering on the people who care for them.
A vicious act of violence. No excuses. No justification.

Israel offers its profound condolences to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as the families of the victims, following the tragic terrorist attack at a church in Karak.
Targeting a place of worship and murdering innocent believers constitutes a severe assault on freedom of religion.
We wish a full and speedy recovery to the wounded and reiterate our solidarity with Jordan in the struggle against terrorism and extremism.

🇮🇱🇮🇱 This post is only for those who care about facts and believe that a nation does not forfeit its right to live on its ancestral land simply because of a massacre and ethnic cleansing.
I keep hearing people justify the terror attack today near Hebron under the pretext that Israel is "occupying" the area.
Jews have lived in Hebron since the days of Abraham, over 3,800 years ago.
In 1929, the Arab residents of Hebron massacred the city’s Jewish population.
Seven years later, in 1936, the British Mandate authorities decided to evacuate and remove every survivor left from the Jewish community following the massacre. There is a term for what the British did: ethnic cleansing.
Just 32 years later, in 1968, Jewish residents returned to live in the city.
A nation that was ethnically cleansed from a community where it had lived for 3,800 years cannot be considered an "occupier" when it returns just 32 years later.
And if you’ve made it this far, here are the Main Periods Without a Jewish Presence in Hebron since 1,800bc, 3,800 years ago:
The Babylonian Exile (6th Century BCE) – ~50 to 70 years:
The Crusader Period (1099–1187) – ~88 years:
Modern Era (1936–1968) – ~32 years.
Jews cannot be considered occupiers in Hebron, as they are the indigenous people of the city.

The Palestinian wave of terror continues.
Two IDF soldiers were murdered this morning in a shooting attack near Judea Junction.
A large-scale Hamas terrorist attack targeting innocent civilians was foiled, as evidenced by the substantial quantities of weapons and ammunition discovered.
Our brave soldiers acted with courage and determination and prevented an even more devastating terrorist attack.
Israeli security forces continue to operate with full force to thwart terrorism and bring those responsible to justice.

Another murderous attack on Israelis in Judea and Samaria.
Five Israelis wounded, two critically, in yet another Palestinian terrorist attack near Hebron.
This is part of a deadly wave of Palestinian terrorism targeting Jews.
Palestinian incitement, the Palestinian Authority's Pay for Slay policy, and an education system that encourages murdering Jews fuels this violence.
There can be no justification.
There can be no excuses.
Terrorism must be condemned unequivocally.
