I want this Halloween to be about family... and violence...and about as much sex as we can get away with.

Even funnier that they were pushing that “there’s only so much oxygen in the sub left!” narrative and then james cameron of all people went on tv and said “oh yeah we all knew they were dead right away. obvious to anyone who’s actually done this before.”

I mean he did tell that one raven joke to tara strong and while she acted mad for a minute, she was actually cool with it so maybe that would help him a bit.

I’ve noticed that the “wholesome joy and whimsy” crowd tend to get REALLY mad when you point out how that’s their whole vibe. Like when ted lasso fans became furious when people didn’t like it and went “well hopefully it will teach you to stop being so miserable and unlovable!!”

Relieves stress, helps people sleep depending on how they do it and if you’re single, your body just naturally tells you to do it after a while

title: The Most Famous Author to Never EXIST?! (RE Save Room music): “You might remember a book called The Sudden Stop, an Alex Casey story. It was the last book released in the series by author Alan Wake. But it seems that Casey was not the only one whose stop would be sudden.”

Brand New Day poking fun at how dumb mcu thanos was pissed me off so much because that’s YOUR story! You wrote that, you don’t get to go “yeah why was he such a moron, right fellow kids?”

Are you saying I shouldn’t casually drop that my daughter was raped onto a guy I barely know that’s making a movie about her?

Feels like a lot of people seem to forget the context of the doc is that Elizabeth Holmes knows she’s going to jail and wants to “prove” that she’s innocent. If you feel like she was manipulated or just didn’t understand the problem with what she did, guess what? She fooled you!
Okay, so here's the thing. If you didn't read Bad Blood or the early WSJ reporting about Holmes (which I did, obsessively, because I am obsessed with scammers) you had a completely different experience of this movie. You *cannot* have engaged with that media, and then

Feels like a lot of people would’ve absolutely been scammed by her. The moment she tries to avoid answering a tough question from Nathan with “all I know is I love my family and I’m being taken from them 😭”, it was so obvious that she’ll just say whatever to get out of trouble.
It’s a very good movie but if your takeaway is that Elizabeth Holmes might be a neurodivergent victim I think you have forcibly disconnected yourself from reality. More specifically, she *obviously* gets The Who’s on First joke—and is profoundly motivated to pretend she doesn’t.

Have met three different women this year alone that have told me that they had ovarian cysts and how they had to fight their doctor to actually check and diagnose them instead of just saying they were bloated or something.

The part early on where Elizabeth starts talking about “I just know that I love my family and I’m so terrified of never seeing them again😭” and it cuts to Nathan looking at her like “😑 don’t bullshit a bullshitter”.

“Why isn’t there a book where the loser girl gets the hot guy?” Motherfucker that’s called BOOKTOK!!
My dear personal friend natasha romanoff was also a victim of this trope

“Everything is either edgy and r rated for adults or a cartoon” has always been a moronic sentiment but saying it after Wildwood, a pg 13 cartoon, released is especially dumb.
You can hate on military movies or Pratt all you want but I actually think we need more movies like this. Specifically, the live action PG and PG-13 movie. Everything now is edgy and R and for adults or a cartoon. If Karate Kid came out today you’d have a bunch of A24 disciples on Twitter talking about how bad it looks. This isn’t for you. We need more live action movies that kids and their parents can watch together. We’ve lost the Sandlots and Mighty Ducks and Mrs Doubtfires. I hope, at the very least, this does well enough to green light more family friendly movies.
