The point of no return by Richard von Mises is worth reading:
"A state becomes almost unreformable when the majority of the population is financially or structurally dependent on the state (state employees, civil servants, recipients of subsidies, grants, or transfer payments, etc.). As soon as those who net benefit from or are supported by the state outnumber those who do not, the system blocks reforms, since the majority votes out of self-interest for the preservation or expansion of state services."
Does this sound familiar? Some European countries, France, Belgium, Finland are already way beyond that point, closely followed by Germany, Spain, Austria and Italy. It works for a while, as long as markets buy more sovereign debt at reasonable interest rates. The party ends when they stop though. For France, they stopped this month, Belgium will be next.
The longer the socialist illusion persists, the more painful the inevitable cuts and adjustments will be. It’s pure arithmetic. Good luck Europe, good luck Euro. Buckle up, it won’t be pretty.
Save San Diego.
Elect Bailey.
It’s that simple.
Crosby is just a continuation of Gloria’s failures.

Nominations for the 30th Annual SD Taxpayers Golden Fleece and Golden Watchdog Awards are open.
There are plenty of potential nominees for the Golden Fleece Award:
#NationalCity's counterproductive Cannabis Tax xitter.cf/sdcta/status/211363023…
The City of #SanDiego mayor and council for failing rein in spending
xitter.cf/sdcta/status/211291360…
#SANDAG for failing to address ongoing accountability failures and management issues.

Another day, another failed tax increase in #SanDiego county.
#NationalCity imposed a 5% tax on cannabis sales. The result: underperforming revenue as customers turn to black and gray markets.

Tragically comedic that Gloria - who has made SD one of the least affordable cities in the US - would think to tell others how to be affordable.
USCM President @MayorToddGloria joined @CBSNews to discuss our Affordability Tour, highlighting how mayors are delivering local solutions and what cities need from the federal government to support their efforts. cbsnews.com/video/san-diego-…
We have a crisis in affordability. Neither NAVWAR OTC nor Midway Sinking will fix that. The YIMBY economics of densification on expensive dirt will always make the problem worse…unless your path to affordable housing is depopulation of San Diego.
San Diego is in a housing crisis. For years, I’ve said that the NAVWAR campus is one of our best chances to build affordable housing at scale.
Last week I strongly, publicly opposed the plans for a data center here. It wastes a chance to provide more housing or something else that benefits the community.
Crosby just can’t help her hypocrisy.
This just confirms that she would be just as bad as the current dysfunctional council members.
Vote Richard Bailey for responsible, honest and accountable governance
Midway Sinking will be the biggest real estate scam in SD’s history. Gloria will do anything he can to close this increasingly worse deal to cement his political future and pay back his donor benefactors

Hypocrisy or just politics? Dem Nicole Crosby’s campaign has been hitting her opponent Richard Bailey bc the business-friendly Lincoln Club has endorsed him. But Crosby herself was a Lincoln Club member for 5 years until 2 months ago when she quit after paying $3,250 in dues.
Wait til he finds out about feudalism and serfs…
Who is surprised that San Diego received an F?
Gloria- abetted by the council- is literally a failure.
Vote them out!
Both the city of #SanDiego and #NationalCity received failing grades in the SD Taxpayers 2026 Municipal Report Cards.
sdtaxpayers.org/in-the-news/…
Only National City is currently taking meaningful steps to get spending under control.

Nicole Crosby is a hypocrite.
She was a Lincoln Club member until the end of August 2026.
Shocking, I know…
False…and racist.
No one should be forced out of the community they built and have lived in — sometimes for generations — to make way for some YIMBY elitist who has it as a mission to transform the working class neighborhood into their vision.

Economics argument that the proposed California billionaire tax would be net negative for revenue.
As a political economy complement, note that the CA teachers union has decided to recommend voting "no" on the initiative.

CA YIMBY doesn’t care that everything that it proposes makes housing more expensive as long as they get to shill for their Developer buddies interests
Eliminate CARB. They are the greatest impediment to executing a program of controlled burns needed to effectively manage forests.
Wildfires have grown more intense and frequent because we’ve suppressed natural fires that removed smaller trees and vegetation that act as kindling for bigger, more devastating fires. We must pass my Fix Our Forests Act.

Spotted in San Diego City Council District 2! Fact check: It's TRUE!
A vote for far-left lunatic @NicoleCrosby4sd is a vote for more of the same. WE NEED TO VOTE @RichardPBailey_!
Bailey will bring much needed change, transparency and policy to City Council.
Vote for Richard Bailey, Martha Abraham, and Mark Powell so we once again have responsible, accountable government that works for us.
Voting is a sacred duty. Every eligible American must be able to cast their vote safely and free from intimidation.
San Diego has been preparing for months to ensure a smooth, secure Election Day. Make your voice heard. Vote by Nov. 3.

Ah, the YIMBYs don’t get out much.
The city is targeting historically non-white neighborhoods for density and high dollar developments instead of investing in infrastructure that would increase the quality of life for current residents…who want to retain SFH neighborhoods.
