Hi! I’m Rise! About a week ago, I launched aboard the Artemis II mission with four of my besties. Since then, I have been serving a very important purpose aboard the Orion spacecraft… I float. (And I look cute.) Today, I am taking over the Artemis social media accounts! -Rise

If Elon Musk can’t prevent weirdo Talarico from becoming Texas’s first Democratic Senator in over three decades, what’s the point of having a trillion dollars?

Same for the Joos and Michigan. What’s the point of running the entire world if you can’t beat a 5’3” jihadist for a United States Senate seat?

.@katieporterca says she spoke with Haley Stevens on her drive to @CNNTheStoryIs. "I think she's tired...I encouraged her to put her phone away and take time for herself. I think she made a really wrong decision here." "I think she's heartbroken...she kept saying to me, 'I'm just one person.'" "She didn't say she regretted it...I think the biggest mistake here is she didn't give herself any time to heal and regroup [after the primary]...I don't think she's found her footing."

I wish there were a version of this that was an 8-episode tv show, so it could be both longer and worse.

Again… either the GOP gets wiped out or the polling industry ends today. There is no in between.

Who are these crazy people who expect results on election night? -- so tired of this disinformation. It's normal to wait weeks and weeks for results.

A bit of a random thought, but after seeing people like Will Wheaton and Evan Loves Worf bitching about "right wing" people sharing their love for Patrick Stewart because Stewart himself was a Labor Party socialist and would have opposed their politics, it occurred to me that until basically now, I never even thought about Patrick Stewart's politics. I'd always just assumed he was super left wing, because he's an actor who has had a successful career in the American entertainment industry. It would be incredibly weird if he wasn't. Now... Guys like Wheaton and "Worf" live in the tightest epistemic bubbles imaginable and simply cannot fathom the idea that it's possible to look beyond someone's politics and value them for their work and their actions... They'd never consider being so gauche as to speak kindly of some nasty Republican or whatever, so it's impossible for them to understand that most normal people aren't obsessive weirdos who only see political affiliation. But I can't actually recall one instance of him ever talking about it in any interview I've seen with him, let alone being obnoxiously arrogant, hostile, and rude about it. Even with Ian McKellan, maybe they'd bring up gay rights or some other political subject, but they didn't scold or speak with anger or insults about the people who don't share their views. I'm sure someone will find me some counter-example where he's talking about how much he hates Trump or whatever, but it's never occurred to me to care about his politics. It's very Dolly Parton, in that I think it's a big part of why he's so universally beloved.

It's hard to ignore the cult following he has, but the reality is NYC is having it's lowest homicide year because after 2020 the city decided to ignore everything Zohran was preaching such as defund the police. We now credit a guy who has done nothing to help with everything. We live in Idiocracy already.

I’m genuinely confused by this take. Paxton crushed Cornyn in the primary runoff. Paxton wasn’t exactly appointed by some mystery committee. Aren’t Republicans supposed to support the will of the voters? Or does that only work for THEIR choice?
HIGH-STAKES TEXAS CONTEST: "I was laying in bed the other night wondering how do I blow $500 million? And it dawned on me—I pick Paxton over John Cornyn... For 0.7% if you get Paxton, you spent half a billion dollars that could have gone to South Carolina, could have gone to Maine, could have gone to Nebraska, Kansas. But they're trying to drag Ken Paxton over the finish line when all you had to do was nominate John Cornyn." @TGowdySC

All of this. Things aren’t great but they’re better than 2022 and 2018 and 2006 etc etc etc
People forget what 2018 and 2020 were like. Bad GOP years. In 2018 we were in the depths of Russiagate and the investigations into the President. Democrats were completely unified in their effort to stop Trump. Republicans were still massively divided. Women's marches were everywhere. Protests in DC nonstop. Democrats were activated, mobilized, and Trump was completely hamstrung. We came in with 53 Senate seats and held on to 51. We flipped Florida - Rick Scott defeated an incumbent Bill Nelson, and DeSantis won. We flipped Missouri and Indiana, too. In 2020 we were in the depths of COVID and peak BLM hysteria. Democrats were again incredibly activated. Mass protests everywhere. Polls were projecting a complete wipeout, and the President losing to Biden by 10+. Trump only lost the popular vote by about 4.5 points. Dems just barely held the Senate, getting only to 50 seats. What, exactly, is happening in 2026 that is driving the GOP to the worst performance since Watergate? Gas being $4.00 a gallon instead of $3.00 a gallon? I mean yeah, it's a midterm and inflation is too high. Ok. Democrats have problems EVERYWHERE, unlike anything they had in previous years. They had a rapist with the Nazi tattoo win the primary in Maine, and were forced to replace him at the last minute with the guy who came in 4th in their gubernatorial primary. Their candidate in Michigan is so repellent that his primary opponent - who got 47% of the primary vote - has endorsed the Republican. Their candidate in Alaska is likely going to face criminal charges for conspiring to defraud Alaskans of the right to vote for the candidate of their choice. Democrats everywhere are bickering and fighting. And where are the Iran War protests? Oh right they aren't happening. The "No Kings" protests are anemic. Meanwhile, Republicans have never been more institutionally behind President Trump. He's still doing rallies everywhere and pulling big audiences. That's going to lead to a D+13 environment - something we haven't seen since Watergate? Sorry I just don't believe you. It's 2026, normal people have been ignoring polls for a decade now and aren't picking up the phone for Nate Cohn. D+4, and Susan Collins and Mike Rogers defy the tide and win too because the Democrat candidates are historically bad.

"i can excuse antisemitism, but I draw the line at endorsing a republican" is the gist of every outraged dem
Former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, who served as Biden's secretary of energy, on her support for Abdul El-Sayed for Senate: "I endorsed Haley Stevens in the primary. She was a friend and we worked closely together. I understand and share her concerns about hate, both anti-semitism and Islamophobia. But in endorsing Rogers, I no longer recognize her. ... The stakes for the country are so very high, and today’s decision by Stevens was nothing short of reckless — for Michigan, for the country, and for her political future. I believe folks in Michigan will put guardrails on this President by voting for Abdul."

All Haley Stevens has to do is apologize, rescind the endorsement, get a Nazi tattoo, abuse a spouse or partner, masturbate in a portapotty, and publicly justify 9/11, then this will all be water under the bridge.
