If three kids is an elite status symbol, then my parish is basically Davos.

Martin Kao is a convicted fraudster, and this bad-faith media campaign to sensationalize his lies as investigative journalism is despicable.
No one should fall for ProPublica's op here.
Any allegations of quid-pro-quo behavior or wrongdoing by the late Senator Lindsey Graham or his staff are simply false. It’s embarrassing that ProPublica, a George Soros funded operation, is legitimizing the ravings of a convicted felon, Martin Kao, who clearly would have said anything to save himself.
Adding insult to injury, ProPublica has chosen to publish this story when Senator Graham cannot defend himself because he tragically passed away in July.
While it may not be convenient for ProPublica’s narrative or Martin Kao’s attempt to escape responsibility for his criminal activities, the federal funding in question was requested by the University of South Carolina and supported by the U.S. Navy.
And finally, Senator Lindsey Graham’s office was never contacted by the FBI.

NYP: Super PAC Propping Up “Decoy Dan” Sullivan in Alaska
A mysterious super PAC propping up retired teacher Dan J. Sullivan in Alaska’s closely watched Senate race is funded by progressive donors, new financial disclosures reveal
Dan J. Sullivan, aka “Decoy Dan,” shares the same first and last name as incumbent Sen. Dan S. Sullivan (R-AK) and is listed on the ballot as a Republican despite voting against Donald Trump in each of the past three presidential elections.

University of Chicago Students to Protest at Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Demand End to Federal Ban on Onion Futures
Student-led group For Our Futures will rally Monday morning to call for repeal of the 1958 Onion Futures Act
On Monday, October 19, at 8:30 a.m., members of For Our Futures, a student-led organization from @UChicago, will gather outside the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (@CMEGroup) headquarters to demand the repeal of the Onion Futures Act of 1958, a nearly 70-year-old federal law prohibiting futures trading in onions.
The Onion Futures Act, enacted following allegations of market manipulation in the 1950s, singled out onions for a prohibition on futures contracts that remains in effect today. For Our Futures is calling on Congress to repeal the ban and restore the ability of onion growers, buyers, and traders to participate in a regulated futures market. Onions remain the only commodity banned from futures trading in the United States.
The protest will feature a giant inflatable onion costume, protest signs, and dozens of students, and will take place outside the headquarters of CME Group, one of the world's largest derivatives marketplaces and the historic center of American onion futures trading.

Maybe one of the most incredible pieces of rhetorical art I've ever seen.

Turns out @ycombinator is the YC for DC.
That's one of my biggest takeaways from this great conversation with @Airbnb Cofounder @jgebbia.
YC was transformational for Joe and Airbnb. Now he's bringing that same mindset (e.g. get close to users, question conventional wisdom, move quickly, build things people love) to Washington.
The opportunity is bigger than better government websites. It's about redesigning the user experience of being a citizen.
YC has changed technology, business, and culture. It's fascinating to see that impact extend into government, too.

My current chapter at DOJ has come to a close.
It has been an honor serving under Attorney General Todd Blanche, former Attorney General Pam Bondi, and Acting Deputy Attorney General Trent McCotter.
What this DOJ has accomplished in combatting violent crime and ending weaponization has been unprecedented. And there is still more to come.
The fight continues. I look forward to continuing to serve President Trump and this Administration. 🇺🇸🫡
Katie Bailey is the best in the game. I've worked with her on many tough projects and she's always a steady hand on the wheel. Fantastic choice by the President.

Over @TroyJackson207's more than 20 years in Augusta, a third of his bills were unanimously rejected in committee.
If he couldn't even get a single member of his own party to support his bills, why does he think he would be effective in Washington?
