i'm wondering what's going to happen to canton DeFI when DTCC goes live
while the main mission is to tokenize securities and enable 24/7 trading,
i'm more interested in what gets built on top of these assets
i read an article a few days ago about
whether canton could follow the robinhood playbook
their tokenized stocks have been paired with memecoins and generated some crazy volume
and it got me thinking... could this be the hail mary we've been waiting for?
maybe something that finally catches CT attention
obviously, this depends on the consumer apps that get built around these assets and what people can actually do with them
and then there's @fairmint, which makes this even more interesting
they're bringing equity onchain, with ownership records and transfer restrictions built into the infra
i'm curious to see how all of this plays out tbh
