Longer schedule includes fewer missed classes, longer recovery time, more time to develop chemistry and quality. From a team perspective I don't see a downside
What are the issues behind extending the season?

Pretty wild that Brazil is calling up our 3rd best ‘07 fullback (and that’s being generous) who hasn’t even broken through at the MLS level yet. Not sure if that says more about where they’re at or where we’re at. Pretty cool for Torquato either way.

We really need a better USMNT lead journalist. In what world are Musah and Miles in the roster and Kochen isn’t? At least Doug seems to have gotten over his intense hatred for Gio.
The roster for the #USMNT’s tricky Concacaf Nations League quarterfinal vs. Haiti drops next week. Who is likely to be on it? @FOXSoccer: foxsports.com/stories/soccer…

Maddie DiMaria scores her 12th goal of the U17 World Cup to put the USA 2-0 up on Spain. She is the highest scorer in a single U17 WC across the men’s and women’s competitions and it’s only the round of 16.
Anyone who thinks the World Cup isn’t coming back here soon is very very mistaken. That’s a lot of extra money, and @FIFAcom isn’t turning that down.
Exclusive: FIFA made $5 billion from tickets & hospitality at 2026 World Cup - over five times more than at previous World Cup thanks in large part to controversial dynamic pricing.

No.. I was told he'd be back in MLS by next season!
Christian Pulisic is in advanced talks with AC Milan over committing his long-term future to the club.
The 28-year-old’s current deal expires in June 2027 — the end of the current season — although the Italian club hold an option to extend it by a further 12 months.
While a new contract has yet to be finalised, there is optimism an agreement will be reached.

No idea how accurate this report is, but Wesseh scored again today for @fredrikstadfk 🇺🇸
🇺🇸 FC Barcelona are seriously monitoring 18-year-old Gabriel Wesseh from Fredrikstad FK.
Wesseh is highly dynamic left-footed winger who can also play as attacking midfielder as his secondary position. His game is centered around aggressive 1v1 execution, close-control dribbling, and structural line-breaking.
He has rapidly progressed or transformed into one of the Scadinavia's finest talent, already attracting attention from Europe clubs including Barça.
He display excellent confidence and high-level ball manipulation in tight spaces, he frequently carries the ball aggressively inside and routinely bypasses multiple defenders with ease.
Possesses extreme drive and quick-burst acceleration with the ball at his feet. His athleticism allows him to anchor lighting-fast transition phases from deeper positions in dangerous areas.
One of his main tactical traits as a No. 10 is his "gravity." He deliberately carries the ball into congested central lanes, drawing multiple defenders toward him. His sharp vision enables him to slip passes out wide to overlapping wingers or forward runners.
I have been able to watch him in few games this season, he always looks impressive and ready. His confidence, maturity and ability to play under pressure is on high-level.
Based on his specific combination of explosive movement, extreme left-foot dominance, and raw technical profile, Gabriel Wesseh is most similar to Mohamed Kudus.
High-potential, elite-tier modern winger/playmaker. His baseline technical drive and fearlessness parallel modern high-value profiles.

Tottenham Hotspur are among a host of Premier League clubs tracking Villarreal right-back Alex Freeman, with @TEAMtalk understanding that Spurs have been particularly impressed by the American’s progress in Spain.

22-year-old USMNT defender Alex Freeman is already one of the best fullbacks in La Liga.
What a talent ✨🇺🇸

Alex Freeman is the first of a batch of truly elite MLS produced prospects coming up.
More to come 🔜
Villarreal manager Inigo Perez postmatch with great praise for #USMNT’s Alex Freeman: “…Alex is a super player. He can easily play center-back, full-back, left-back, further forward, wing-back; he’s even played on both flanks for his national team.
Therefore, this versatility and dynamism, combined with his skill level, means that, for a coach, the confidence to field him in any position or ask him to do things that might surprise him makes me bolder, and, as you’ve seen, he’s able to play with astonishing composure.”
