Look beyond the payment infrastructure @paystack created, and you’ll see that the fintech giant also gave Africa bold, ambitious builders. From Idorenyin Obong, who went from building at Paystack to founding @greyfinance , to Femi Aluko, who helped lead Paystack’s engineering before co-founding @chowdeck ; Douglas Kendyson, who went on to build @tryselar , to Mallick Bolakale, who now runs @StartbuttonHQ ; and Cossi Achille Arouko, who is building @BujetiHQ , Paystack’s alumni have gone on to build companies of their own and shape Africa’s digital economy. And they are only a few of the builders who came through Paystack.

Several taxes affect startups in African countries. Although they're on the same continent, markets don't share the same local regulations. 🔗 For more insight into the other tax types and rates in these markets, get the free African Digital Tax Guide at startbutton.africa/reports/a…

Radius @radius_hq, fka Pay4Me, was losing customers because its payment infrastructure did not account for how Africans in Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, and Tanzania pay. One Startbutton integration later, and their payment success rate jumped to 90% with a 20% increase in customer satisfaction. Read the full story here: startbutton.africa/customer-…

Nigeria isn’t just Africa’s biggest fintech market. It’s becoming the continent’s launchpad. 62.5% of Nigerian fintechs are planning regional expansion, and that’s not by accident. The CBN built the foundation: real-time payment infrastructure, FATF grey list exit, tiered KYC, and open banking frameworks. That regulatory bedrock gave fintechs the confidence to grow and go global. From Startbutton Africa entering 7 West African markets, to PalmPay scaling into East Africa, to Raenest expanding into Asia and the US Nigerian fintechs are on the move. Nigeria hosts 604 of Africa’s 2,479 fintech startups. That’s 1 in 4. And the next chapter is continental. Yhup. They don’t even maintain the currency so if you price in USD, you’re forced to convert. A client from USA seeing $ reaches checkout and it’s GHS. Breaks the trust. @theflutterwave is annoying but they handle all these well. For scale @StartbuttonHQ.

Sooo, it’s different per country, to get it to work, you’d have to either register your business in all those countries and setup Paystack per country or use an aggregator like @startbutton
