Reading Genesis by Henry Kissinger, Eric Schmidt & Craig Mundie, I expected a book about artificial intelligence.
Instead, I found myself revisiting 2,400 years of political philosophy.
Because the central question isn’t really about technology.
It’s about power.
Genesis explores whether AI could one day become a modern Philosopher-King—a system capable of making wiser decisions than any human leader.
It’s a fascinating idea.
But it led me to a different question:
Should any intelligence—human or artificial—ever stand above the constitutional principles that govern society?
I don’t believe so.
The future of AI shouldn’t be built on Rule by Intelligence.
It should be built on Constitutional Intelligence.
In such a model, no one stands above the constitutional framework.
Not presidents.
Not governments.
Not corporations.
Not AGI.
Not ASI.
The question isn’t:
Who should rule?
It’s:
What principles should govern every ruler?
As AI becomes more capable, this may become one of the defining questions of our time.
