Vote No on Proposition H. Why? - The tax will raise costs across SF for 15 years and is passed on to renters and small business owners
 - There is no accountability in Prop H. No reporting is due until a year after the dispersal of fund payouts begin. And the "oversight body” is a group of citizens (appointed by the SFMTA Board) that has no enforcement powers
 - There is no enforceable requirement for SFMTA to be more efficient or more effective.
 - SFMTA could reduce costs up to $300 million without MUNI service cuts, as noted in our March 2026 SFMTA Budget Analysis

- Ridership is 81%of pre-pandemic levels. Demand is still lagging. Yet SFMTA wants to increase service. Where’s the common sense in that?

- SFMTA admitted today at the Board meeting they could be looking at reducing costs through absenteeism, attrition and excessive overtime to reduce costs but have chosen not to wait Vote No on Proposition H

Who is the largest donor funding yes on the $17B Measure RTM transit tax while transit spends more to move less people? SEIU. Who is on strike today because *checks notes* they don't want to commute to the office? Also SEIU. We are not your ATM. Vote NO on Measure RTM.

My "hot" take. We need MORE ICE enforcement in SF, especially the Tenderloin, not less. A significant percentage of the dealers are Honduran Nationals. Removal of every one of them would cripple the drug markets and save lives. But we're apparently not interested in that...
The recent videos and reports about ICE activity in SOMA are scary and unacceptable. This unlawful behavior by federal agents underscores the importance of looking out for one another and staying informed. Here are resources at your disposal if you see any ICE activity in your area: RAPID RESPONSE NETWORK SF Rapid Response Network 24-hour hotline: (415) 200-1548 immigrants.sf.gov/help/rapid… RESOURCES FOR IMMIGRATION LEGAL SUPPORT San Francisco Immigrant Legal Defense Collaborative (SFILDC) A collaboration of 16 local organizations providing legal representation to individuals and families facing removal proceedings. sfildc.org Attorney of the Day Program Free phone consultations for unrepresented immigrants provided by the Justice & Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco. ICE agents, like Police Departments, search for suspects matching a description. Given the missing or incomplete information, sometimes they detain the wrong individual. It happens. This is not a civil rights violation. However, when detainees refuse to cooperate, problems arise.

Ironic because Jane Kim keeps popping up, every election cycle, running for office, any available office that she can, even if she knows nothing about the job. She keeps on trotting out the same old tired generic tropes hoping that those will be sufficient to attract voters.
This office shouldn’t be a concession prize.

If YIMBYs could drop the disdain for how ordinary people want to live, I think they would gain more leverage. Unfortunately, much of YIMBY-ism and Urbanism seems to be a social engineering and re-education project bent on re-training the public to live by their aesthetic.

Voters need to have faith in the voting system and know that the election process is secure. Not having election security undermines Democracy. Part of this is cleaning the voter rolls and requiring identification to vote. These are not outlandish requirements.
If the regime truly believed California had an illegal voting problem — no such problem exists — they would have taken this action a long time ago, not as Californians are literally casting votes. This is all a political stunt to trick people into voting for Prop 39 (which will make it harder for citizens to vote) and to lay groundwork for a coup on January 3 by refusing to seat House Democrats based on bogus “voter fraud” claims.

The tone of this post is seriously "trust me bro", when in fact we have grave vulnerabilities in our election process that are easily exploitable by anyone with not too much effort. We put so much effort into security in other areas, why voting remains a blind spot baffles me...

I think the bigger issue is that SNL is a dinosaur whose time has passed. You have to watch 90 minutes of SNL, 40% of it is commercials, 20% is musical acts, and only 5-10% is actually funny. Spending 90 minutes to watch 5-8 minutes of funny material is no longer tenable.

So much of activism is publicly pretending to care about children in situations that you can do little about, but when it comes to local children in situations that you *can* do something about (kids in the Tenderloin stepping over shit and needles) you are nowhere to be found...
also it is impossible to hear the Blue Angels and not think about the IDF raining down death on little children with our full material and political support, so that really puts me in a great mood for the team meeting

The most annoying people you’ve ever met in your entire life are upset about the Blue Angels flying around SF. Quadruple their budget, at least, please.

Golden Gate Fields could have been sold to a private developer who would have built housing with plenty of green space throwing off substantial property tax revenue for local government. Instead, $145 million of bond money is being spent to acquire it as public land. It will now go through a multi-year planning process, while generating zero property tax revenue and little public benefit. Maybe at the end of all this, there will be a few housing units, but I wouldn't count on it. This is Bay Area "YIMBY" policy. Whiff on easy opportunities to add housing, spend huge amounts of taxpayer money, and set up needless confrontations with neighborhood preservation groups (see Marina Safeway). eastbaytimes.com/2026/10/06/…

Great podcast with some great observations by Richie and Erica
MANNY SUPPORTERS: The San Francisco Dept of Elections confirms Manny Yekutiel continues as an official candidate - all votes for him will be counted - and should he top the results, he wins. He cannot withdraw at this point. Erica and I unpack the crazy fishy controversy:

Democrats IMO are especially vulnerable to being manipulated by guilt and shame, so now even the "moderates" in the SFDCCC might shift to the left to appease their progressive critics and to salvage any shred of their reputation they might left after endorsing Manny Yekutiel.

The saga of Manny refuses to die, showing how a single race can have significant second-order effects... Manny's SA accusations are being weaponized to the fullest extent by the progressives in order to discredit the "moderates" in the SFDCCC and win seats back. They may get them

Scott Wiener once again claiming he is pro-public safety. I can assure you he is not.
Public safety is vital. Your car, your home, and block should always feel safe. My opponent previously called for dismantling the police and voted against giving police the tools to stop car break-ins. When I represent San Francisco in Congress, I will always prioritize your safety.
