The deep tech boom has barely begun.
YC wants to fund startups that:
🇺🇸 secure the nation
👨🏻🚀 build things for space
🏭 bring manufacturing back to America
The world is full of founders with expertise that could be tapped into something new and great.
Our hope is that our Request for Startups (RFS) inspires some of those people to do so — or if they’re already building, to apply to YC. ycombinator.com/blog/ycs-lat…

We need to put more emphasis on how important it is to be a likeable person in the business world, to be able to story-tell
As unfortunate as it can be, this will often get your farther than pure technical skills

Each of these is 100% valid. What I think @StoryLoading is getting at is this:
Most* PE teams are ex consulting or IB. Their mgt experience = telling smart, highly motivated, highly paid associates to do X, and - surprise - it happens.
Most* lack exp. leading the other 99%

I was laid off today.
Earlier this year I took a gamble accepting a position at a new company and today I sit in a less than ideal spot. I've been a Brand Director, Associate Creative Director, and Senior Designer. I've managed teams and have a massive amount of experience designing for websites, slide decks, product UI, logos, brand kits and guidelines, ads, social, events and conferences, and anything else you need to convert leads into customers.
Most importantly, I have a wife and 3 kids at home. If you need someone to design, provide creative strategy, or give a massive boost to your marketing efforts - I'm open to work. Contract, part-time, or even a full-time role - I'm ready and fully available.
Thanks everyone!

Net worth is completely overrated.
Try paying your bills with your net worth.
Cash flow is what really matters.
