Yeah, as 1 of 3 errors on a shift, it wasn't good.
But the thought process was fine. That rebound is quite literally the only way that play ever turns into a goal.
I have no idea why York thought he could dance 3 people and a goalie but won't even try a breakout pass at 5v5.
Watching the overtime goal back, I actually think Matvei Michkov made the right play
He originally covered for Cam York up high, and then when York cut to the net and forced a rebound, Michkov sold out for the goal
Michkov already overstayed his shift and would’ve been a non-factor defending in transition
York’s move to the net was as low percentage a play in OT as you’ll see. Too many bodies and too close to the net with no space.

Dude stopped during the play and physically used his hand to point while the puck was on his stick
Michkov paralyzed the PK for 10 seconds, but the bad news is he also paralyzed his own team and they couldn't think to move to get open for a pass lol
I need Nazar between M&M desperately.
He tries to do too much in Chicago at times, but he's an otherworldly transition center with a great motor and legit playmaking skill.
Moore is kinda like a less skilled but better skating Nazar and I do still like him, just less.
@SuitableAlias curious on your opinion on some of these guys in @ADiMarco25 most recent article the flyers are interested in. I don’t know much about Nazar and Moore but typically defer to your opinions on guys I don’t know much about.

Michkov is at 13 minutes through 2 periods, and those have been gooood minutes for the otherwise losing team.
As it turns out, playing him lots of minutes works just fine!
