Taking all emotion or copium out of this, winning out against the AFC South (IND, JAX, TEN) they'll cover the 3 game deficit.
Not a guarantee, given what's transpired. And not optimal either, but #Texans still have a narrow path to the playoffs.

A fired up @SethCPayne with @SeanTPendergast discussing Nick Caley and the usage of the jumbo package this morning.
Offensive staff
GM
DeMeco
That's the order of who should go, If things continue down this path for the #Texans.
Would rather see DeMeco with another GM before he walks, but he should be the last person let go between those 3 groups
Need people to remember where the #Texans were before DeMeco...
He is not absolved of the 2-5 start but he also isn't a bridge head coach.
The guy was one of the better defensive playcallers in the league, offenses adjust, he needs to adjust too.
People forget too easily...

While everybody was talking about Nico Collins and Marvin Harrison Jr., Jaylin Noel was busy torching the Jaguars' defense from everywhere.
Yes, they are 2-4 but they are 2-1 in the AFC South..... Important for later on in the season.
If this version of CJ Stroud continues, #Texans need to follow up on the MHJ trade and look for answers on the defense...
Offense has put 31, 30, 26, and 34 points w/ Nico healthy...
C.J. Stroud on his mindset after leading the Texans to a 34-31 win over Jacksonville on @nflnetwork :
“I tried to choose joy. I made a mistake, but that didn’t end it for us. Our defense held them to three and they gave me the ball back.”
On what was working offensively:
“Really everything. Like honestly, I just felt good. I feel in rhythm and I’m having fun, man.”
“I’m having a joyful energy. My teammates are uplifting me.”

This is an absurd ball from Roger Goddell
Texans fans can talk all the shit they want for winning a rigged game, but just remember in the playoffs you will always be on this side of it vs a team like KC or Buffalo.
@NFL decides the winners
#Texans offense w/ Nico:
Averaging 29 points (Bills, Cowboys, Titans)
Offense without Nico:
Averaging 12.5 points (Bengals & Colts)
I said Nico Collins was a top 6 WR on the @TheRyenRussillo show this week and kind of surprised by the pushback!
On top of the eye test of what Collins brings to the table as a true dominant X, here are his underlying numbers (with rank among 107 WRs) since 2023:
2.74 yards/route (3rd)
12% 1D/route (4th)
6.9% explosive/route (2nd)
26.3% target share (11th)
Knock on wood, If Nico or another WR on the 53 goes on IR tomorrow, Harrison has more potential than any street free agent to help this #Texans team compete.
A 2nd rounder should be a small price to pay to compete this year. Especially being under contract beyond 2026.
Draft was two 2 years ago, but Marvin Harrison still fits the billing of a blue chip prospect, high character guy.
Not hard to see why #Texans we're willing to roll the dice on a player like that.
Houston could easily trade back in this draft and get some of the capital back.

Interesting how many of Marvin Harrison Jr.’s struggles were attributed to confidence issues in @TyDunne summer profile.
If that’s really the case - I wonder how reuniting with his college QB, exhaling behind an alpha in Nico Collins, and entering a winning culture can help
Nick Caserio and Monti Ossenfort keeping the trend of #Texans trading with Cardinals alive??
The Arizona Cardinals are trading WR Marvin Harrison Jr., per @AdamSchefter.
The deal is being finalized with the team and compensation currently unknown.
UNREAL
-0 interceptions
-Over 30 points scored in 2 of 4 games
-Leading or within a score to win the game
#Texans are 0-4
Put CJ on the Rams, they wouldn't be 0-3.
CJ has his warts but the #Texans offensive staff/play calling isn't doing him any favors
Texans fans… is it not okay to want more from your QB??
CJ Stroud is extremely talented and has shown moments of making great plays. Those moments are often followed up by a turnover or taking a bad sack! All sacks are NOT on the OL!
Y’all crying about everybody else, and there’s blame to go around but in order for the Texans to be what we expect them to be, CJ needs to be great! 🤷🏾♂️
