βDURANT, Miss. β The ripples of the blue tsunami started in the Delta. Down a tiny road covered in brown leaves from the large oak trees was a house with wood-paneled walls covered with quotes from Maya Angelou and photos of Harriet Tubman. There, Kameisha Smith, 31, sat at a folding table and pressed her long lavender nails on her laptop keyboard, staring at a spreadsheet of people who might solidify a historic change to this countryβs political trajectory.β
Young Black women in rural Mississippi are trying like hell to make sure no ballot gets thrown out unfairly in the Scott Colom race. They are DMing friends and chasing down people who need to verify their IDs. My story (gift link) on the phenomenon: wapo.st/4AbqTpg

Donβt tell me Schumer as Leader has to be the face of the Dem senate.
Restructure the SML and choose a talented, likable, effective communicator as the face of our party. Why would we willingly have universally disliked Schumer and Jeffries to be on camera every day?

The faux outrage by Trump and Blanche that members of Congress might actually conduct oversight (unlike this Republican Congress) would be comical if it didnβt foreshadow illegal and unjustified blanket obstruction that is undoubtedly coming.
P.s. Todd, the DOJ did not defend Trump during either of his impeachments, nor did Janet Reno defend Clinton. You are not the personal lawyer for administration officials.
Todd Blanche suggests on @CNNSOTU he will investigate Democrats for βthreateningβ Republicans: βTheyβre not even in charge now, saying βlawyer up.ββ
Kash Patel, 2023: βWeβre going to come after you.β
Steve Bannon, 2024: βYou better lawyer up.β
Mike Davis, 2025: βLawyer up.β

Weirdly, but not for the reason you're suggesting, this is correct. Thanks to the hated policies of Trump & Hegseth, voters rose up & *overwhelmingly rebuked* them & massively flipped control of the House & Senate to Democrats in order to undo fascism & rebuild American strength.
Thanks to President Trump and @SecWar Pete Hegseth, true American strength is back.

Data center subsidies ballooned to insane amounts this year. The data center tax exemptions include $2.5 billion in Georgia and $1.3 billion in Texas for FY2026, and nearly $2 billion in Virginia for FY2025.
A lot of these data center tax exemptions are costing state budgets 10 to 20 times more in revenue than initially projected.
This forgone tax revenue is a textbook example of shameless corporate welfare. These billions of dollars could be funding American schools, housing, healthcare, transit, etc.
Not to mention the fact that data centers draw massive amounts of electricity and water, and the cost of these grid upgrades is blatantly being passed down to households and rate-payers through higher monthly utility bills.
We're getting robbed blind, America.

Little to no sustained investment in FL, LA, MS, SC, and much of the South. That MUST change.
We canβt keep calling Black voters the backbone of the Democratic Party while failing to invest in the states where so many live.
Listen to the folks on the ground. Invest in them. Give them the resources to build and compete.
You canβt win everywhere if you refuse to invest everywhere.

I have a history PhD from Oxford and try to support all of my historical claims with strong evidence, particularly when regarding the president of the United States.
But based on a comprehensive review of 250 years of American history, it is simply irrefutable that Donald Trump is by far the most corrupt president in U.S. history when it comes to using the office to enrich himself and his family.
Here are the facts, and why there isnβt even a close second.
Trumpβs own federal financial disclosure reported more than $1.4 billion in 2025 income from family crypto ventures, including about $635 million from his meme coin and nearly $800 million from World Liberty Financial. Reuters separately estimated that the family added at least $2.3 billion to its fortune from crypto ventures after Trump returned to the White House.
The clearest example of how Trump used the office came in May 2025. The 220 biggest holders of his meme coin were invited to dine with the sitting president at his private golf club. The coin jumped more than 60 percent when the dinner was announced. To get a seat at the table, you had to buy and hold a product that made the president money. Trump turned access to the presidency into a sales pitch.
The foreign dealings raise an even more serious question. Four days before Trump took office, an investment vehicle backed by a UAE national security official agreed to pay $500 million for nearly half of World Liberty Financial. The Wall Street Journal reported that $187 million of the initial payment was directed to Trump family entities.
Trump is clearly not the first United States president to be guilty of corruption, but the size and scale of his malfeasance put him in a league of his own.
Under Ulysses S. Grant, whiskey distillers and federal officials pocketed money by cheating the government out of liquor taxes. Under Warren Harding, Interior Secretary Albert Fall took bribes in exchange for leasing federal oil reserves. Richard Nixon had a personal tax scandal, but his defining abuse of presidential power was the Watergate cover-up, an effort to protect his hold on office. LBJβs political connections helped turn a small Texas radio station into a family broadcasting empire.
By September 2025, less than eight months into Donald Trumpβs second term, he and his family were roughly $5 billion richer than they had been around the 2024 election, according to Forbes. In comparison, a reasonable estimate is that all 44 other U.S. presidents combined added about $250 million to their wealth while in office, adjusted to todayβs dollars. That puts the Trump familyβs gain at about 20 times the estimated combined total for all other presidents over the course of two and half centuries.
The election results were, at least in part, a clear repudiation of this staggering and historically unprecedented corruption. Congress now has a mandate to investigate, follow the money, pursue the recovery of all ill-gotten gains, and enact enforceable safeguards so that no president can ever again use the White House as a vehicle for personal enrichment.

This is PRECISELY correct.
In January, the approach HAS to be, βIf you violated the law, weβre going to prosecute you. NO ONE will escape justice.β
Anything short of this process would teach seditious Republicans that they can get away with crimes against America.
No more!!!

Impeach and remove
He wrote the immunity ruling that protects a president who takes a bribe for a pardon.
Sotomayor called it out in her dissent.
Tell your members of Congress to impeach him.
