We just started the year, and already we have lost a brother.
The pain is heavy, and it’s hard to accept that he is gone 💔😭
He was not just a friend—he was a true freedom fighter. A man who understood people, who led with purpose, and who carried a vision bigger than himself. The Eritrean community has lost not just a person, but a leader, a motivator, a comrade.
Even while battling serious health challenges, he never stopped pushing for the liberation of his people. His commitment never wavered.
We say he is not truly gone if we carry forward the vision he lived and struggled for. If we accomplish the goal he dedicated his life to, his spirit lives on.
Rest in peace, my brother. Your struggle, your sacrifice, and your dream will not be forgotten.

#Eritrea's crisis is structural, not cultural. The Sadist dictator Isaias Afewerki hijacked a hard earned independence & sustains himself through repression & regional destabilization. As long as the saddest regime stays in power the Horn of Africa will face recurring conflict! Development & global integration are deliberately sabotaged. We urge to international community to support the youth movement #EBRF #BlueRevolution #RegimeChangelnEritrea

This is not the result of chance or the course of nature, but a deliberately engineered humanitarian catastrophe in which an entire civilian population has been stripped of food, medicine, healthcare, and safety through blockades, political decisions, and systematic inaction, where people are slowly broken down physically and psychologically because life-saving assistance is withheld, access is closed, emergency aid is turned into a tool of power, and international silence has made it possible for suffering to continue without consequence.
In Tigray, starvation is used as control, illness as pressure, and exhaustion as a strategy, while health systems are destroyed, supply lines are cut, and humanitarian actors are prevented from reaching those in need, leaving elderly people, children, and families to waste away as the world debates language instead of delivering action and shifts responsibility instead of taking it.
This is not a lack of resources, but a lack of political will, not a logistical failure, but a conscious choice, where people die not because help does not exist, but because it is not allowed to reach them, where suffering is normalized through delay, and where every day without action produces losses that could have been prevented.
Tigray does not need more explanations, cautious statements, or empty commitments, but immediate access to food, urgent medical assistance, real protection for civilians, and full, unconditional humanitarian access, without delays, without bargaining, and without excuses.
Every hour of inaction becomes a decision, every moment of silence becomes a position, and every ignored life becomes proof that passivity itself is a form of violence, which is why the world must understand that what is happening now will be remembered—not only for the suffering inflicted, but for who chose to act and who chose to look away.

Absolutely agree, @JasonPoblete! Dawit Isaak’s case is not just a moral issue; it’s a crucial test of credibility and political courage for Sweden. While many pressing topics deserve attention, prioritizing Dawit’s release and proof of life is essential.
For the Blue Revolution of Eritrea, this case symbolizes the urgent need for genuine engagement with Eritrea that reflects our commitment to human rights. We must judge this engagement by tangible actions, not just words. Anything less falls into the trap of performative diplomacy, which ultimately undermines our values.
Let’s continue to advocate for real progress and hold our leaders accountable. The world is watching, and it’s time for action that truly reflects our mission! #BlueRevolution #FreeDawitIsaak #HumanRights #Eritrea #Justice #Diplomacy @StateSPEHA @SEPeaceMissions @aboehler @usembsweden
Sweden can brief on a hundred worthy issues, but Dawit Isaak’s case is a moral test and a credibility test and a political courage test. Engagement with #Eritrea should be judged by one thing: concrete progress toward Dawit’s RELEASE, proof-of-life, and access. Anything less becomes performative diplomacy. @StateSPEHA @SEPeaceMissions @aboehler @usembsweden

Sweden’s first official visit to Eritrea in 32 years comes while Dawit Isaak has been imprisoned without trial for more than 24 years.
This is a profound shame and a moral failure.

🙏🏽 @CmaDawit & congressman @BradSherman for taking the time to discuss the needs & concerns of our #Eritrean people. They've been ignored for 34 years while enduring #SilentGenocide by the world worst dictator Isaias Afwerki. Especially as @UN urges the release of🇪🇷prisoners.@BBC

UN fordert Freilassung von rund
10 000 willkürlich Inhaftierten in Eritrea.

#Eritrean brutal regime releasing prisoners of conscience after 10+ years without trial, detained in harsh conditions inside metal shipping containers; stole their youth, their health, their dignity most of them disabled, blind & broken 💔Faith was their only “crime” then "released" them to die without care or compensation. This is not mercy! It's a crime against humanity. #NoMorePFDJTerror

Congratulations to Yonas Mebrahtom, Habtom Gebretsadik, and Zerisenay Meles!
Your release is a moment of hope and relief for all of us. After many days of uncertainty and concern, we can finally breathe and celebrate that justice has prevailed.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stood by them — those who shared information, raised awareness, prayed, protested, and showed solidarity. Without your voices, this would not have been possible.
You have proven that when we stand together, refuse to be silent, and lift each other with hope, even the impossible can become possible.
This is not only a victory for three individuals — it is a light for all who continue to fight for freedom, dignity, and justice.
Let us move forward together — stronger, braver, and more united than ever.
