Inflation is increasing. This, salary must increase. That's why PSUs should exist but CIA agent fooled people that govt has no business in business.
8th Pay Commission is a scam. An entry-level government peon will earn ₹45,000 per month. That’s equivalent to what many private-sector employees earn even after 5 years of experience. And we wonder why India’s private sector struggles to attract talent.

One outrage I see is over the speculated NALCO proposal for an aluminium plant in Andhra Pradesh using bauxite from Odisha. We protest when plants go outside Odisha, and we also protest when they come to Odisha. Look at AP. They wholeheartedly welcome industries. But in Odisha, AC-room activists complain about the environment, water, and everything else. Either we welcome industries or go back to farming(with ହଳ ଲଙ୍ଗଳ). We cannot just keep complaining about everything.

$itch, you are embarrassing Absolutely pathetic. You are not just embarrassing yourself, you are embarrassing the very state you claim to represent and single handedly raising my BP. First, salute to that media bhai for having the guts to stand his ground and refuse to be intimidated by her Hithi superiority complex. Odisha needs more fearless journalists like him. Our media must be educated, well informed and equipped with documented facts to shut down these Hindi supremacists, Sanghis and national party sympathisers who think India revolves around Hindi. Hindi is an official language of the Union, not India's national language. How can someone who supposedly works in the film industry be so embarrassingly ignorant about the Constitution? And your argument that children who don't learn Hindi will be trapped in Odisha and unable to go outside? What kindbof bullshit is that? By your logic, you cannot even survive outside the Hindi belt! What about Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal and the rest of the non-Hindi-speaking world? Does opportunity cease to exist wherever Hindi isn't spoken? And what about the entire F*cking world outside India? Is Hindi their passport to success, too? Millions of Indians build successful lives across India and abroad without making Hindi the centre of their existence. English and regional languages open doors. The world doesn't revolve around your beloved Hindi. JAI JAGANNATH. JAI KALINGA. JAI ODISHA.

What the hell is happening in Odisha? This is a cultural invasion, and it requires immediate attention. Otherwise, the end is near. Odisha as a state, Odia culture, and the Odia language are all at risk of disappearing from their own homeland. What the hell are we witnessing? We need hundreds of Thars to run over these organisers, figuratively speaking, this cultural takeover needs to be stopped now!

Bengalis and Odias are the least performative Hindus in all of India. East India must wake up against the hegemony of West and North India in imposing their version of Hinduism on rest of India.

I have visited Kolkata multiple times, but this time, I experienced the city up close. And honestly, the gap between Kolkata and Bhubaneswar is much bigger than I thought. The beautiful old houses, charming bylanes, cafés, neighbourhood eateries, distinctive Bengali food and people walking through streets steeped in culture, Kolkata has a character that Bhubaneswar still lacks. What impressed me most was the Bengali pride. People naturally begin conversations in Bengali, even in restaurants and cafés. The language lives on the streets, not just in literature or politics. I spoke to several people in Odia, and they understood me too. That cultural confidence is something Odisha needs to learn from. Even if Odisha is ahead of West Bengal in per capita income, Kolkata is still far ahead of Bhubaneswar in its urban culture, heritage, street life and overall city experience. A state's economic indicators don't necessarily reflect the lived reality of its capital. And experiencing Kolkata up close made that difference impossible to ignore. Despite Odisha having significant advantages in several areas, Bhubaneswar still has a long way to go in building a comparable urban culture and civic mindset. Kolkata can reclaim its place among India's leading metropolitan cities and significantly narrow the gap with Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune over the next decade. Bhubaneswar, meanwhile, needs more than smart-city infrastructure. It needs a cultural and civic upgrade, greater pride in Odia, better public spaces, a thriving café and food culture, and citizens who value their language and heritage without making hindi as their master. Kolkata reminded me of that. Bhubaneswar has a lot of catching up to do. Jai Jagannath. Jai Odisha.

Now I understand why Odisha’s Hindi lovers get so triggered when someone defends Odia in English. 😂 Their first question is always: “Why are you writing in English? Write in Odia!” Why? Because the moment you defend Odia in English, the argument reaches an audience they cannot control. And God forbid their Hindi masters notice that Odias are questioning Hindi dominance while speaking a language of global communication. These people aren’t worried about Odia. They’re worried about answering to their Hindi masters. Apparently, defending Odia is acceptable only if you do it in a language they can conveniently dismiss. Their insecurity is showing. Loudly.

Gosani Jatra of #Puri dates back to the 12th century, while Bengal’s documented Durga Puja began around the 17th century (1606 AD). That makes the Gosain Jatra 🙏400–500 years older than Durga Puja. 🪔 Happy Mahalaya 🙏

There are lots of Odiyas on this platform that love Hindi domination over South India. Hope they get to read this, someday.
Dear South Indians, you fought Hindi domination for decades. Now, apparently, you have one noble job left which can save a classical language called Odia. Yes, I said Odia. You have been the wall that refused to let Hindi swallow other languages. You stood up for your mother tongues. You defended multilingualism, multiculturalism and linguistic diversity because of you a classical language like Odia survived. Now here is the fucking irony. Many Odias themselves keep saying: “Learn Hindi. Hindi will get you jobs.” “Learn Hindi. You need it for business.” “Learn Hindi. How else will you buy vegetables?” “Learn Hindi. You need it to survive outside Odisha.” Fine. People learn Hindi. But then comes the part nobody wants to talk about. After learning Hindi because they supposedly need it for jobs and economic opportunities, many of these very people leave Odisha and go to Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala looking for jobs and business opportunities. So let me ask a very simple question: If Hindi is the language you supposedly need for jobs, why are you not going to the Hindi speaking belt (UP, Bihar) and why going to South India for those jobs? And once you enter a South Indian state, shouldn't you be learning English and the local language? Why should the local people abandon their mother tongue and switch to Hindi simply because you chose to learn Hindi instead of learning English? And this is where I am asking South Indians to do something very simple. The next time an Odia person comes to you and speaks Hindi, tell them bluntly Don't speak Hindi to us. Speak to us in our language. Let them experience that insult, these fucking idiots need to be called out so brutally that the embarrassment hits them in the face. They need an insult strong enough to make their faces turn red with shame. Let them feel how it is to abondon your mother tongue and spent whole life learning some useless language instead of learning better English. Maybe then they will understand what it actually means to love and protect your mother tongue. I want to see these buggers face when they realise learning hindi actually gives them nothing but humiliation.
