What If a Resident Evil Movie Actually Looked Like the Game? youtu.be/-lbfSOF-u9k?is=QzCC… via @YouTube

I’m such a big fan of Resident Eviland when i saw Bryan leaves the message for michelle with no signal then turns into a monster, and the phone just stays in raccoon
Leon’s the one who’d find it like a regular re file. “this is for michelle…” (in the game) and then he holsters it and keeps walking. michelle still never hears it.
So i think Leon was part of the army that took Bryan’s life in the ending.

Watched Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil in IMAX🚀
It’s very much the best Zach Cregger movie to date, and it puts you in the player’s seat in an amalgamation of Resident Evil tropes and vibes that extend throughout the whole franchise.
It is as valid as a take on Resident Evil as RE7 is, with a protagonist that is very much like Ethan Winters, a placeholder for you the player, who is inexperienced, scared and also comedic towards what’s going on around him.
Go watch it yourself! It’s a fun ride that puts you through the gameplay, while other adaptations were putting you through the cutscenes and theatrics of @ResidentEvil😎 #REBHFun

So I just walked out of my 2nd viewing of Zach Cregger’s #ResidentEvil
While I’m still conflicted on how to feel about aspects of the film, I did really enjoy it more the 2nd time around, more so than my 1st viewing. The film perfectly captures the survival horror experience on screen. I loved the snowy atmosphere and tone. It felt like playing a Resident Evil game with the constant over the shoulder perspective like it was ripped out of RE 2/4/7&8. I'm someone who fell in love with the survival horror aspect of Resident Evil, so to see that here in the film is the best thing I could ask for. One of my complaints with Anderson's first RE film was its slow start and not getting a zombie till halfway into the movie, with this film it starts and doesn't stop and the pacing is so well done. I didn't feel bored while watching it at all.
The monster designs were like a combination of the T-Virus and Las Plagas. I thought the added layer to the zombies was interesting and not every infected was similar which we know the virus can have different effects on different people depending on how the host bonds with the virus. After seeing this a 2nd time, I wouldn't mind a continuation of this universe as I would like them to dive into this infection and show off other capabilities it may have. The threat level of these zombies felt much greater than your standard generic undead. Having a stalker enemy in this film was awesome! However compared to the rest of the stalker enemies in the series this one wasn't much of a threat compared to Mr. X or Nemesis. But I'm happy one was included as stalker enemies have been more prominent in the games formula lately.
Now as for negatives... While the film feels like Resident Evil in tone and in the experience, this virus and RC is very different. I do stand on what I said previously that there isn't much here to associate this with Resident Evil, which leaves me feeling disconnected in a way. While I enjoyed the comedy in the beginning, I felt the film would have been better off withholding from jokes to capitalize on the horror and tension. The ending is a mixed bag for me... again I really like the monster designs in the movie and loved the final monster design overall as it reminds me of an RE 2 boss, however the end of the film is turned into a parody in a sense.
If you are someone going into this movie expecting it to be sticking to lore and have recognizable things from the games you will sadly be disappointed. If you go into this from a gameplay perspective, you will more than likely enjoy the film a lot more. I believe everyone should give it a chance as you could either love it or hate it.
Overall, my final score for Resident Evil (2026) is a solid 8/10

Really enjoyed the Cregger RE movie. As a longtime Resident Evil fan, it felt like watching the backstory of some random guy you’d usually only read about in a note, before eventually running into his mutated form as a miniboss. . #ResidentEvil

Grand Theft Auto VI is the most realistic game I've ever seen, legit looked like a CGI movie.
But you know Rockstar Games, they somehow managed to squeeze every bit of power that those current-gen consoles have to give
