“We are to seek, in every way we can, to hear Jesus Christ. The purpose of this and EVERY general conference is to help us to HEAR HIM. We have prayed, and invite YOU to pray, that the Spirit of the Lord will be with us in such rich abundance that you can hear the messages that the Savior has ESPECIALLY FOR YOU -- Messages that will bring peace to your soul. Messages that will heal your broken heart. Messages that will illuminate your mind. Messages that will help you know what to do as you move ahead through times of turmoil and trial. I know that God, our Heavenly Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ, ARE MINDFUL OF US! They will be with us throughout the proceedings of these two glorious days as we seek to draw closer to Them and honor Them." Russell M. “There are reasons for your commitment to be made now, for as the rush of hours, days, and months grows stronger, the will to commit grows weaker. Events to transpire soon on this planet will dry up the options for the lukewarm, for the issues raised by Jesus are irrepressible issues! ACT, my brothers and sisters, for once the soul is tilted toward belief, and once there is even a DESIRE TO BELIEVE, then marvelous things begin to happen! Once one leaves the porch and comes inside the Church, then one not only hears the music more clearly—he becomes a part of it. ACT NOW, so that a thousand years from now, when you look back at this moment, you can say this was a moment that mattered—this was a day of determination. And when we tear ourselves FREE from the entanglements of the world, are we promised a religion of repose or an Eden of ease? No! We are promised tears and trials and toil! But we are also promised FINAL TRIUMPH, the mere contemplation of which tingles one’s soul. May we be different in order to make a difference in the world.” Neal A. Maxwell Why Not Now? October 1974

THE. ONLY. ANSWER. The world will continue to search for solutions to the problems so prevalent in our society today, but the reality is, we already have them. Heavenly Father has already given us everything we need! “Whatever questions or problems you have, the answer is ALWAYS found in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Learn more about His Atonement, His love, His mercy, His doctrine, and His restored gospel of healing and progression. Turn to Him! Follow Him!” (Nelson; April 2023 GC) “The answer to the simplest questions and to the most complex problems is ALWAYS the same. The answer is Jesus Christ. Every solution is found in Him.” (Olsen; October 2022 GC) “The Lord Jesus Christ is the solution to our problems, but we must lift our eyes and raise our sights to see Him. I testify that the Lord Jesus Christ is the solution to even our most difficult problems.” (Camargo; April 2023 GC) “The gospel of Jesus Christ has never been needed more than it is today. Contention violates everything the Savior stood for and taught. I love the Lord Jesus Christ and testify that His gospel is the ONLY enduring solution for peace. His gospel is a gospel of peace. His gospel is the only answer when many in the world are stunned with fear.” (Nelson; April 2022) The further we turn away from God, the greater our problems will become. The closer we get to Jesus Christ, the more clearly we will be able to see solutions right in front of us— and we will hear His voice, and recognize the help He is offering. The answer is ALWAYS Jesus Christ!

“Learn to listen, and LISTEN TO LEARN from Church leaders. Faithful members love the Savior and honor His servants, having faith in the Lord’s declaration that “whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same.” Gratefully we thank God for a prophet to guide us in these latter days. But many turn a deaf ear to his teachings, oblivious to his prophetic position. They do so at great risk, for scriptures contain this warning: “A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you … ; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. …“Every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.” (Acts 3:22–23.) President J. Reuben Clark, Jr., said, “We do not lack a prophet; what we lack is a listening ear.” Wise members listen to learn from Church leaders.” Russell M.
