Canada just announced the Digital Safety Act β a social media ban for anyone under 16.
Most Canadians think this is about protecting children. It isn't.
To enforce a social media ban, every single Canadian will have to prove their age by attaching government-approved ID to their social media accounts. That's not child protection. That's a digital ID.
And once you're verified on one platform, that verification follows you everywhere β linking every account you own under your real identity.
But it gets worse.
This isn't a standalone policy. This is the missing piece that connects Bill C-9, C-22 and C-8 into a complete surveillance and censorship system.
Bill C-9 defines what you can and cannot say online. Bill C-22 forces platforms to save your data for up to one year. Bill C-8 gives the government the power to cut you off the internet entirely.
The digital ID created by this social media ban is what connects all three.
And they're selling it to you as child protection.
Don't be fooled. All these bills are interconnected β and this is the last piece of the puzzle.

After getting 61.7% support on the 2021 referendum for removing equalization from the constitution, this is what Premier Jason Kenney did.
First, he wrote a letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau asking for a meeting about the results.
The response was "No."
Next, he wrote a letter to the First Ministers asking for a meeting about the results.
The response was "No."
Finally, Kenney gave up.
This is the leadership that Kenney offered to Albertans who trusted him.
Now he's asking us to "Lead, not Leave" when the truth is Albertans cannot fix the Canadian system. We have tried. It's time we "Lead, and Leave."

A lot of people in these comments are throwing insults for saying Carney wasn't elected.
None of them have pointed out a single fact that's wrong.
So let me be very clear.
I never said it was illegal. I never said that he was the first to become Prime Minister without being an MP.
I said he was βthe first Prime Minister in Canadian history to have never been elected to public officeβ.
And the bigger picture is the part nobody in the comments wants to touch π
The Carney government was about to fall.
All three opposition parties β Conservatives, NDP, Bloc β said they'd vote non-confidence.
Conservatives had a 24-point lead π
The government was done.
So Trudeau prorogued Parliament. Shut it down. Suspended democracy so the confidence vote couldn't happen.
CBC confirmed it: "the Liberals will avoid a confidence vote."
Then during that suspension, 0.38% of Canadians chose Carney as Liberal leader.
Then Trudeau β the man they had no confidence in β advised the GG to appoint Carney as PM π
Same party. Same government. Same Salesman.
You cannot claim he had the confidence of Parliament when they suspended Parliament specifically to avoid testing it.
And since then? He has fooled this country at every turn π
π Said he'd "axe the tax." Scrapped the one you could see. Kept the hidden one β 7Β’/litre. Zero rebates. Industrial carbon tax still climbing to $170/tonne.
π Said he'd fix the $390M slush fund. "Replaced" it with a $5B version. Same minister. Bigger budget.
π His ethics screen covers 5% of Brookfield. The Ethics Commissioner said under oath his future pay is tied to Brookfield's success.
π Said he'd stand up to China. Flew to Beijing. Dropped EV tariffs from 100% to 6.1%. Slave labour imports from Xinjiang grew from $59M to $601M. Canada blocked 2 shipments. The US blocked over 1,000.
π Campaigned on 380,000 immigrants. Real number is 765,000+. The UN called the program "a breeding ground for contemporary forms of slavery."
π $35.8M in taxpayer money went to companies his wife advises.
π Appointed a BlackRock executive to run international trade. BlackRock and Brookfield are co-investors.
π 5 MPs crossed the floor with no by-elections. 74% of Canadians across ALL parties say that's wrong.
π Now he's personally choosing the next Governor General β the person who signs his laws into effect. No vote. No public input.
This is what you're defending.
