Thoughts are easy- red card
Replying to @HACKETTREF
Keith, thoughts on the Nyoni challenge on Odegaard? 24 hrs prior it was a straight red for Mateta, a red that absolutely nobody argued against. Xavi Simons was also sent off for the same thing last season.

Spot the difference #392 If it’s Arsenal, it’s okay. If it’s Spurs, it’s a red card every single time.

Not really spoke about the game on here but thought it was pretty incredible how Arteta managed phases of the game, they got the goal early after a lot of end to end chances, then adapted to reduce the space for Gakpo/Barcola/Isak - they had one 4v3 on the break and Arteta shut up shop. Arsenal dont have that same pace & power on the break as Liverpool, so he changed, reduced the space and got his players in shorter spaces where they could physically dominate esp in the centre & out wide. He’s truly an incredible manager, man.
Main issue is that Barcola’s main superpower is running / spinning in behind however the supply from players around him isn’t good enough. He’s not a standstill-type of 1v1 player - think you see the glimpses over short distances but when space shrinks he looks less productive.

🚨 Arteta “Extremely proud for the way we carry this shirt and badge especially with what happened 4 days ago. We put everything into those actions” Alao says he was convinced to start Tzolis for his performances in training and how ready he was when asked about Anfield. Mikel also said Eze has a “fitness issue” currently.

Simply shout out Gabriel today. 200 Premier League Appearances for The Arsenal. Absolute colossus CB. Arteta recently talked about his journey and progress. Easily one of the best CB’s in world football. We dont praise him enough. His partner is back soon too!

Another way the current administration is trapped in the ZERO-SUM FALLACY: The H-1B visa situation. + You are NOT taking a job from a citizen, rather creating jobs by increasing overal economic output. Plus these people (even vegetarians) SPEND locally. + The US has long been benefiting from other countries' brain drain; without it its edge wd collapse. Tesla, Von Braun, von Neumann, Fermi & Einstein did NOT each take the job of a citizen. + It the problem is anti-Indian racism, say it, don't play games.

Since I first posted this meme a month ago, the Houthis have joined with the IRGC in influencing Fed monetary policy decisions. Don't be surprised when ships, airports, etc. go *boom* at an increased rate ahead of Fed meetings.

A friend heads private credit at a large public pension fund and his exposure to data centre went from 0 to 5% of overall portfolio in less than 18 months…. He is running out of capacity to add more exposure to data centres and on top of that the limits are now getting tightened because every exposure is now below water. I always believe that fixed income spreads are like canary in coal mine for equities, fixed income guys are logical whereas equity guys are emotional. Last week 2 interesting things happened. 1. Paramount Skydance Corp. raised a massive $52 billion in debt (loans and bonds) to fund its $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery Inc., which triggered immediate losses for bondholders and an uproar on Wall Street… as the bonds fell sharply inspite of over subscription. 2. Credit spreads on SpaceX's $25 billion bond offering have widened sharply following heavy secondary-market selling, with longer-dated spreads blowing past 230 basis points and touching near-junk territory. As per the article in startup fortune. Six months ago, banks were racing each other to underwrite data center loans tied to Oracle, Meta and the rest of the AI buildout. Now some of the same banks are trying to get that debt off their books. JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, SMBC and MUFG have been exploring significant risk transfers, according to a report from the Financial Times. These are deals that let a bank keep a loan on paper while shifting its riskiest slice to outside investors. The banks are doing this because they are bumping up against internal limits on how much AI-linked exposure any one lender can hold.

Myles Lewis-Skelly invites danger and plays through it with ease. The low centre of gravity, the strength of his turning circle and the bravery with which he approaches every pass or carry has intent, and he’s fast improving his passing range. Baller.

Using real-life examples, show why state ownership of sporting institutions should be outlawed (5 marks)
Exclusive with @AlexDooler @DNair5 UAE officials have warned the UK government that the severity of Man City’s punishment could undermine their appetite for future grand-scale commitments in Britain, according to people familiar with the matter They consider the Premier League’s actions to have an influence on the bilateral state relationship, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing undisclosed information The extraordinary pressure comes after Andy Burnham faced criticism, including from within government, for saying Man City’s Abu Dhabi owners should not be disqualified specifically because of the investment they bring to Britain bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Manchester City reported £949.4m arriving from sponsors over nine years. The real number was £119.2m. Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG), the club’s owner, forked out the remaining £830.7m in what the commission described as a “disguised funding scheme”. City are alleged to have overstated their revenue by £854.5m over nine years. We knew it was going to be bad. But this bad? No, it is on a different scale to anything the Premier League has seen before. 📝@DTathletic 🔗 nyti.ms/4yXalR2
