譬如格瓦拉和他的同志,把古巴人民从独裁者手中解放出来;
LO QUE LA IZQUIERDA TE OCULTA:

Help me understand this;
Chinese consider Mao a hero and I mean 99.9% of them do.
Americans far far away, not directly affected by the supposed "dictatorship" are insisting Mao was a dictator.
Did I miss anything?
Dear Americans, why are you pained?

Former CIA officer John Kiriakou, on Indonesia 1965 :
> "they literally crafted this narrative that was absolutely untrue, that a Communist Party was going to rise up and kill everyone"
> "military ended up clashing with the Communist Party in Indonesia and one million people died"
> "Several documents of the CIA actually say that it was a model of an operation"
The CIA's own 1968 research study called the killings "one of the worst mass murders of the 20th century". The agency knew exactly what it was looking at.
Then Washington backed Suharto for 32 years.
I keep coming back to this one because it's the case that shaped everything after it, from Chile to the colour revolutions of today.
If the people who ran it called it a success, what exactly were they measuring ?

"There is no good or bad between China and the West. They are both the same."
No, China is good; the West is bad. You can't distort my history by placing my lived reality on the fence.
I am African, and China has done absolutely nothing wrong to me ever.
China did not colonise me; China does not interfere in my political and economic policies.
China has never exported its language and culture and forced them on me.
China has never once told me what system of government or economic model to adopt.
China has never had any issues with my religion or what faiths I practice within my geographical location.
China has never carried out any intervention on my territory. It allows me to decide the trajectory of my politics.
China has never weaponised its economic advantage to sanction my economy for subjugation.
If I tell China I don't want them as a trade partner today, tomorrow they will leave.
I will never find a Chinese jet in my airspace bombing me or its submarine trying to invade my territory.
Instead, China trades with me, and we negotiate on equal terms, both of us weaponising whatever economic advantages we have to arrive at deals duly agreed on and signed by both parties.
China trades with me tariff-free and offers me products I would get from the West for 20 - 30X the price. Same material, same quality, different prices at a ridiculous discount.
No, China is not my enemy; it has never been. And based on their non-interference political ideology, it will never be.
Instead, if I'm smart enough, it's China that can help me develop at scale. You cannot say the same for the other party.
My enemy is the West; China is my friend.

Only a foolish African like you will make the silly argument that geopolitics is all about painting Russia or China as good and America/Europe as bad, when geopolitics is literally about interests and picking a side that serves those interests.
And by interests, I don't mean the side that helps you stay in power at your people's expense.
But the one that respects your sovereignty, partners with you on equal, non-exploitative grounds, and won't interfere with your local elections or try to use NGOs to rewrite your laws like the other side has been doing for decades.
Not the one that will fund terrorism stationed ONLY in mineral-rich regions of your country, and come in guns-a-blazing under the manufactured pretext of “Nigerian Christians are being persecuted, hence need saving”, only to have you sign away your country's mineral wealth for a little kickback you're hoping to stash in US/European bank accounts.
And definitely not the one that carried out a regime-change operation in violation of your country's sovereignty in 2015, only to have yourself reduced to making silly arguments on the internet on behalf of neocolonisers that are not even hiding the fact that they don't give a fuck about your interests as a citizen of the country they see as one to be exploited more than it already is.

Russia showcases payment systems operating beyond Western control
Russian banks and their foreign partners are already processing international payments without relying on Western financial systems, Kremlin Deputy Chief of Staff Maxim Oreshkin told President Vladimir Putin at the Russia-Africa forum in Moscow.
"Just five years ago, we, like many countries, relied mainly on the dollar and euro for foreign trade," Oreshkin said, adding that Russian banks and their foreign partners now use digital technologies and nonbank financial institutions to process international payments.
Finance Minister Anton Siluanov highlighted Russian company A7, which is preparing to offer cross-border payment services in Africa, with transactions processed "in one click" for a fee of just 0.3%.
"Nobody can cut you off. From a technological standpoint, it's impossible to block such payments," Putin said, describing the system as sovereign, transparent, and capable of instantly converting between traditional and digital currencies.

The most honest statement ever made about Cuba policy came from a State Department memo in 1960, written before the sanctions were fully implemented.
The memo, written by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Lester Mallory, stated that the U.S. should pursue a policy to bring about hunger, desperation, and overthrow of the Cuban government.
Not: respond to "Cuban repression."
Not: protect Cuban human rights.
Not: promote democracy.
Hunger. Desperation. Overthrow.
This memo is declassified. It is in the historical record. It is not disputed.
It means that every subsequent year of sanctions, every subsequent citation of Cuban poverty and dysfunction as evidence of socialist failure, every subsequent American official expressing concern for the welfare of the Cuban people:
All of it happened downstream of a documented decision to deliberately produce hunger and desperation in that population.
This is not a conspiracy theory.
It is a declassified government document.
The conspiracy was the policy.
The theory was written in plain English by an American official in 1960 and has been implemented faithfully for 66 years since.
What they wanted to prove, they engineered the conditions to prove.
And then they called it evidence.

LDS/Mormon missionaries have always been a source of recruitment for the CIA since 1951, 3 years after the agency was created. Here you have Dick Cheney long before he became Bush Jr’s shadow president confirming President Ford’s authorization to use missionaries to collect intelligence. Brigham Young University is also a part of the agency’s 100 universities program and considers Mormons “unusually desirable recruits”. When asked about this by the Senate, CIA Director George H.W. Bush said the agency “might initiate contact” with missionaries and has relationships with individuals in many walks of American life.
It is now 50 years since the Church Committee investigations so many new declassified files will soon be available in the National Security Archives.
Mormons: One Of Christianity’s Most R*cist Groups
What do you really know about the Mormon Church? What did the founders of this church really believe about the world? And do the friendly smiles and demeanors of its missionaries across the globe today symbolize sincere intentions, or hide a dark truth?
In this report for The Spearhead, @okorieuche_ sheds light on the history of one of Christianity’s most r*cist denominations.

BREAKING: BT’s Zoe Alexandra (@ZoeAlexandra_ok) confronted US Ambassador Mike Waltz at the United Nations headquarters on Wednesday, calling out his lie that “there is no blockade” on Cuba – and that the blocking of oil shipments is directly responsible for an escalating humanitarian crisis.
While Waltz retorted that the US allowed the arrival of a Russian oil tanker to Cuba, Alexandra immediately countered that the March fuel delivery was only able to supply a small fraction of the country’s energy needs.
The ambassador then became visibly frustrated and quickly turned to take another reporter’s question.
The encounter followed the UN General Assembly annual vote to end the US blockade on the island nation.

He was one of the greatest leaders in world history, and one of the most demonized by the West.

The CCP's 1981 resolution documents Mao's arbitrary rule, concentration of power, undermining of collective leadership, and personality cult (Sections 18, 20, 24)

Let's be honest, the West hates Mao because he liberated Chinese people, united the country, and made it impossible to be a Western puppet.
Moreover, he inspired more Asian, African, and Latin American people's anti-colonial and anti-imperialist movements. The West slanders any leader who refuses to obey them.
Mao was a great strategist, revolutionist, thinker, writer and leader. Long live the great unity of the people of the world!💪

As far as I am aware, the fact that Ghana has freedom of press does not mean the press has freedom from feedback. You seem to be offended at the notion that you can be publicly called out for what has been put out using your face and your voice. Have you forgotten that this is called "social media", which is an entirely different ball game from the old unidirectional media? You think this is traditional media where information flows in only one direction?
In any case, regardless of your disingenuous explanations that nobody asked for, the basic facts are that:
1. The US government offered your African country a dangerous and shockingly disrespectful "partnership" that stated among other things, that your FDA has no authority to examine or certify whatever medicines would be brought into your country under this "partnership", and that your country has to submit its citizens' health data including biological samples to the US;
2. Your government (thankfully) rejected this slave contract immediately and told the US government to kick rocks, as it should;
3. DW then commissioned you to do the piece in question examining "the other side" of your government's decision to reject a slave contract, as if where there is a simple life and death issue concerning 33 million Africans, the 'death' side is somehow worth examining - as if DW would platform "the other side" if Ghana told the German government to submit medical data of German citizens to Ghana and stand down its BfArM so that Ghana can import whatever medicine it likes into Germany without any scrutiny;
4. You, as a gormless and guileless African journalist who can barely think beyond next month's payment cycle accepted this assignment (or possibly even pitched it yourself because you know what the commissioning editor wants), and proceeded to do the report, which was essentially a series of stupid and unnecessary questions that basically amounted to "Ghana's government claims that Ghanaians deserve to breathe air, but may the American grim reaper who thinks otherwise actually have a point?"
It is precisely this kind of uncritical, tap-dancing, low-self-esteem buffoonery that The Spearhead exists to tackle in African public spaces. Sometimes the problem with a story is not even what it said - it is that the story exists at all. The US government is openly acting like a pirate around the world, stealing Venezuelan oil, bombing Iranian schoolgirls and bullying Nigeria into signing weighted mineral extraction deals - when has DW ever commissioned you to tell "the other side" of those stories?
DW is a German state media appendage. Germany itself is a US vassal country. You are not so geopolitically unexposed that you don't know this. So there is no way that if asked directly or nudged subtly, you would not have known that this report in question was US foreign policy propaganda slop aimed at an undermining an African audience's trust in the perfectly correct and valid decision taken by their government.
You. Shouldn't. Have. Done. It.
You knew exactly what you were doing when you allowed your face and your voice to be used as yet another black face of racist European/American imperial propaganda. There have been so many before you like this, and you won't be the last. So kindly dead this nonsense about "I admired your work and I support what you do" - no you absolutely do not. We are not on the same side, we do not stand for the same things, and I do not like you.
I have also worked in international media, and once I realised that my voice was being used to push hostile foreign policy intended to exploit me and my people, I got off the bus and I walked! I understood that the interests of 1.5 billion people are infinitely more important than the few euros and dollars I was making from Jeunes Afrique and CNN. Maybe learn to see the world the same way then I will respect you more as a journalist and as a man.
Finally, I stand by everything The Spearhead has published under my leadership and I wholeheartedly invite you to proceed with your legal threat.
David and the entire @Spearhead_Af team, I’d appreciate it if you made your viewers fully aware of the entire story and what its content says instead of chopping bits and pieces to spin a narrative about anti-Africa. I’ve followed your work, but if this is all it takes, you’d have to come again.
The report you referenced is a two-part series on the health deal. First was Ghana’s rejection of the deal in its entirety. Subsequently, after President Mahama spoke to the deal, the embassy in Accra addressed a news conference where questions were asked, drawing the responses which are part of the news story.
The report, which is reproduced for your audience, even captures President Mahama’s comments.
This was a major news item in the country on September 28, where other major local news outlets reported on the same. Was that anti-Africa propaganda by most leading media houses in Accra?
At no point in this news feature do I state my opinion on the subject. Your attempts to draw inferences and meaning where there was none are but a poor piece of journalism.
I have followed your work and support what you do. I must say I have been left both surprised and disappointed that this is all it takes to put out a story.
I’d ask that this poor piece of work be promptly deleted and an apology rendered for the nuisance you have constituted.
A failure of which will leave me with no choice but to explore all avenues for redress, including legal remedy.
