800 or so respondents at 51% with a 4.5% margin of error and Maryland retrocession wasn’t even discussed only statehood

Significantly later than that so I don’t know why you bring up Virginia who took back their portion of DC 180 years ago

Are you sure, Marylanders don’t want 700,000 more taxpayers from one of the highest taxed richest places in America? Have you asked them?

Virginia already did retrocession in 1847 and Alexandria has been part of Virginia ever since

It’s a city completely inside the land area of another already existing state on land donated by that state…

It’s a city completely inside the land area of another state, why not just be a city in Maryland?

Puerto Rico has voted many times to become a state but DC could easily have state representation in the state government of Maryland, why should a city in Maryland be its own state?

Well they need to find land not provided to them by Maryland to make this state out of then

And that state is called Maryland

Since we are talking about DC statehood again for some reason I feel the need to point out, stop bringing up Virginia, no part of DC is on the Virginia side of the Potomac, whatever happens in DC, Virginia is not in the discussion

There is no part of DC that should be part of Virginia, the entirety of the city is on the Maryland side of the Potomac, the Virginia half of DC was stolen when Virginia left the union and was never returned
8
That is true for the White House and the capital building and the rest of the federal buildings in a specific federal district, the 700 thousand people living in the rest of the city could be Maryland residents
Replying to @KurtSchlichter
The federal district could easily be a small part of a Maryland city that contains all the federal government buildings

In a world where replicators can create everything from nothing and material needs are met for every living thing with zero effort socialism makes more sense 🤷‍♂️ that world doesn’t currently exist

No part of DC is in Virginia, Virginia took back its portion of DC when they succeeded from the union, which is now Arlington Virginia

The land DC sits on was donated from the state of Maryland if state representation is what they want they should just give it back and vote in Maryland elections

The medical professionals of the NFL should not be attached to the teams, they should be independent and the injury report should also be independent of coaching staff and front offices

They are quitters, if they don’t figure out how to play defense in the second half of a game they will be lucky to be above 500 at the end of the season
