It is inexcusable to overturn the DFL endorsement from Omar Fateh.
A small group, a majority living outside Minneapolis, met privately to overturn the will of Minneapolis delegates who volunteered, organized, and participated in a months-long DFL process.
Unacceptable.
New: U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar sharply condemned the DFL's decision to overturn Fateh endorsement, joining local elected in calling move a "stain on our party" that will damage Democrats' ability to organize and win "this year, next year, and beyond."

people sleeping on the street are your neighbors and the discomfort and anger you feel when you see them suffering should be aimed at the leaders that allow it, but they’re cowards who hide from scrutiny, so if you lack critical thought you place that fear back onto the suffering

Any union that actually gave a shit about workers would be raising hell about the fact that millions of American & Canadian workers are effectively being forced to smoke a pack of cigarettes on the job this week. They might even care about the *cause* of the bad air quality, too
For fucks sake @TimSheehyMT and @SteveDaines, more of your constituents are gonna die on this dangerous road if you don’t restore the funding.
Breaking: The federal government rescinded a $74 million grant for road improvements along Highway 93 in the Mission Valley. Officials said the project will be scaled down, but the grant was worth 80% of the project. Questions remain on how to fund it

For context: the reason this man was born in a Nepalese refugee camp is that the govt of Bhutan targeted his people (the Hindu minority) for ethnic cleansing. They sent him to the place his family was ethnically cleansed from just a few decades ago.

2004, 20-yr-old new father, dual income household ($5.15/hr, $6.25/hr). Worried about keeping gas on, affording diapers, making rent, and paying student loans after dropping out to get a full time job and support our daughter.
We didn’t go to the food bank because we had options.
Seems like every possible solution is examined except the one that is needed: Encouraging people to go to work. 7 million able bodied men from 19 to 64 should be in the workforce. The women with young children should be helped. #mtpol || wsj.com/economy/food-banks-a…

Interesting how these mistakes only happen in one direction - falsely accusing Muslim elected officials of things they didn’t say to portray them as violent or hateful - when’s the last time you made a mistake that gave a Muslim politician too much credit?

A good poll for Zohran. But don’t kid yourself. The billionaires will spend endlessly to defeat him.
This is an election of national significance. Either we develop a strong progressive working class movement, or we end up with Oligarchy & authoritarianism.
Stand with Mamdani.

NEW from family:
“…our beloved Sayfollah Musallet (nicknamed Saif) was brutally beaten to death by Israeli settlers while he was protecting his family’s land…”
They surrounded him for 3+ hours, blocking medics from him.
He died before getting to the hospital.
He was only 20.
NEW: Israeli settlers killed a young Palestinian-American from Florida, where he helped run a family ice cream shop.
Comes days after we asked senators how many Americans have been killed in Palestine & Lebanon since 10/7.
None knew.
He is now the 7th.
